I'm Mellon, and I'm super grateful that you're here to read this long overdue story of mine!
I'll just give a few quick notes about this book, so take a drink of seat belt and buckle your waters, kids!

First, the thing all authors dread talking about: an upload schedule.
Sadly, although a duck, I'm a duck with duties. My goal is a chapter a week, but I can already hear these words coming back to bite me. So if I get a bit behind, please bear with me and know that I'm probably suffering through some history notes or something. If I get really behind, though (like 3 weeks?), you have my solemn permission to spam me sad cat faces until I repent and come back with a fresh batch of chapters!
Second, just a bit of clarification about the setting of this book.
You might have noticed that one of my tags is "ancient china". Well...this book isn't set in ancient China! Wait, wait, hold your rotten tomatoes, I promise to explain T^T. The setting is kept purposely vague, in both the original and the host universe. To put it simply, the second universe is heavily based upon ancient China, which you'll see in many of the names, clothing, generic cultural/societal aspects, etc. But it isn't actually ancient China, for various reasons (one of them being that I suck at research and am afraid my Chinese ancestors will be disappointed in my inaccuracy).
