The three boys sat on the bench at the top of the hill. The blonde was playing music from a jukebox, while the brunette was fidgeting while smiling. The split-color-haired boy was humming to the music with a small smile on.

“Time flies by..” Tommy said, as he looked at the other two in the trio. Tubbo nodded and took a deep breath of the fresh air that floated all around them.

“Yeah.. It feels like it’s been a week since we had our first bench session. When we all sang along.” Tubbo smiled a bit more in remembrance of the three. They had sat on the bench and all sang to the music playing beside them, laughing and joking like they had no care in the world. And at the time, they really didn’t.

Ranboo smiled a bit more and nodded. Their words seemed to echo around them. ‘Time flies by, we all sang along.’ Ranboo glanced at the ring on his finger, and softly felt the petals of the allium flower in the suit’s chest pocket. He looked at the other two and took a breath before speaking.

“It’s weird to think about the fact it’s already been…. How many years, now?”

“Almost 4. You’re right, that feels strange..” Tubbo said, looking up and over towards the tallest. Ranboo ruffled Tubbo’s soft brown hair, and called him ‘shorty’ because of how much he had to look up.

Tommy laughed a bit and looked at Tubbo’s expression. Tubbo huffed at that, and shook his head so that Ranboo retreated his hand.

“I may be short but I can rip off your dick with ease.”

“What the fuck-” Tommy shot out through laughter, as Ranboo looked genuinely stunned that Tubbo said that. And the fact that Tubbo said it with a straight face as well.

Now here they are. A month after that.

There was fire everywhere. Smoke polluted the once clean air, and the bench was starting to singe. It started out as a forest fire and it trailed up the hill. Ranboo was running to the top, with Tommy and Tubbo running behind.

However, trees were on fire all around them, the bright orange flames turning the bark to a black charcoal.

One of the trees had fallen over, in between Tommy and Tubbo, created a loud *boom* noise. Tommy jumped forward a bit, and tripped and fell. He landed on his stomach and forearms on the ground, coughing up the smoke that entered his lungs.

Ranboo stopped immediately, turning around, concerned. But before he could say anything-

“PLEASE DON’T!”

Tommy shot himself up and whipped around.

“TUBBO?!”

“What’s going on, Tommy?!”

“Ranboo, keep going!!”

Ranboo ran towards the blonde. He wasn’t going to leave his best friends behind. Not now, not ever. Tommy jumped over the fallen over tree, and looked around, finding the brunette 10 ish feet away on the ground.

Tubbo was sitting against another burning tree with his knees to his chest and his hands covering his ears. The boy had tears streaming down his face, as he was shaking profusely. He was yelling to himself, just repeating things like ‘don’t hurt me,’ ‘please don’t,’ ‘I don’t want to die,’ ‘you promised he wouldn’t hurt me,’ and ‘let me out of here.’

Ranboo looked up the tree, seeing it charring quickly. Fear started overwhelming the ender hybrid, as he looked back down to the other boys. Tommy carefully but quickly got closer to the other boy.

“What’s going on with him, Tommy?!”

“He’s having an episode! PTSD--”

“Of what?!!”
