Now I am in Liam's car, wondering what we're going to do...
I looked out the window, finally realizing that Liam is outside the car, we're already there. So much for thinking clearly again. I stepped out of the car, taking all thoughts out of my mind, and focusing on Liam.
"So, here we are..." Liam gestured towards a wooden door, I walked slowly next to him, taking in my surroundings... there's a sign that reads: "Olive Garden"... really? we're eating lunch at an Olive Garden? I sighed, then Liam looked at me sweetly, I smiled at his grin. "You're gonna like it, don't worry... I know its an Olive Garden, but there's something special here for us both..."
"Erm, for us both?" I questioned his words for a second.
"Yes... its just, for us." Liam said leading me inside.
My jaw dropped instantly at the sight of the restaurant... Light fixtures all pointing at a centre table, a table for two... The rest of the tables looked vaguely empty, except for two or three tables with couples filling the seats. Our table, was set up so simply, a couple of wine glasses at each end, a wine bottle in the middle, and two dinner plates on each end. "Its perfect." I finally said to a very bright eyed Liam standing beside me.
"You like it?" he asked me sounding very hopeful.
"Of course I do... Why wouldn't I??" I said, finally at peace. "its so nice..."
"I know... Its so relaxing."
"Very..." I said, looking at Liam.
He smiled at me, looking almost like a child with a new toy. I giggled.
"Thank you for this Liam... Thank you so very much." I hugged him.
He returned the gesure. "You're welcome." I could feel his smile on my neck now, until he started pecking at my neck playfully.
"Stop it Li-" I got cut off by a sudden kiss, a kiss that I've never felt coming from those lips... it was a gentle kiss, but full of passion at the same time. It was a perfect moment. And I did not want it to end, much to my dismay...
------------------------------------------------------------
After Liam and I had eaten, and had our well served wine, we found ourselves having a very special conversation...
"Myriam... " said the man in front of me, looking down at his plate.
"Yes, Liam??" I respond, looking at him now.
Liam sighed. "Do you realy wanna go out with the rest of the group tonight?"
"Well... erm... I don't know." I sighed. "I honestly, just want to be with you. We've dated since October, never really gone out as a proper couple yet... Always going out with the group, I'm starting to feel like a groupie." I let out a soft giggle.
Liam smiled. "I know what you mean..."
"So there's your answer... I do not know if I should tag along with the group tonight."
Liam nodded as he got up from his seat, and asked me one last question, a question that startled me, more than a lot...
"Dance with me, please??" he said to me.
I felt my cheeks turn red. This would be our first dance, ever... All our memories together, flashed before my eyes, I realized then and there, that this relationship was just starting.
"Yes..." I could barely hear myself say that word. "Why do I feel like we're on our first date again??" I questioned the moment out loud.
"Because its just us again..." Liam streched out his hand.
I let out a sigh then smiled, taking Liam's hand firmly. "Yes... Just us..." I mumble, then I asked, "Are you happy, Liam?"
"More than happy, I'll say..."
"What 's that mean?"
"it means, I am at peace." he had the biggest smile on his face.
I smiled at the floor, trying to make out the song that was being played over the speakers. I frowned.
"We are not dancing to THAT, are we??" I point at the loudspeaker, that's blasting some dubstep.
"Hell no!" Liam said, then covered his mouth. "Sorry." He said.
I giggled. "Its ok... Niall still curses more than you." I smiled at the funny expression on his face. "Don't look so upset... And tell me what song are we gonna dance to?!" I laughed.
Liam just shook his head, then joined in my laughter. "Oh you'l see... just wait for it..."
I listened close... "Can't believe you're, packin' your bags..." the lyrics play in the background as Liam hums along.
"But its not summer, Liam..." I said as I looked at him with a cute confused face.
"I don't care, I love this song... I wrote it for someone, and I think I've found her." he pecked at my lips.
We danced along to the song, smiling, slowly moving to the beat... Then "Same Mistakes" started playing. I looked at Liam with sad eyes.
"I know..." he said. "We've had our ups and downs. I wanna fix those problems. We have to. That is my New Year's resolution..." Liam chuckled.
"We gotta make this work, we need to make -us- work." I said to him smiling.
"So far so good, right?" Liam asked me.
"Yeah..." I smiled, "Don't worry, we'll get through it... Distance is just a bunch of useless numbers."
"I know." said a suddenly very happy Liam.
My forehead resting on his shoulder, while we danced, his hand trailed my back, we were in sync.
We swayed to the music for about two more minutes before Liam's phone rang, killing the moment...
