Quinn suddenly awoke to the sound of banging on Spikes bedroom door.
"Oi, Spike, wake up! We're here!" Jets voice startled the two of them as their eyes shot open. Although they were both awake and responsive to the sound of Jets calls, neither of them wanted to get up.
The ship was no longer moving, and as Quinn listened to the sound of Jet walking back down the hallway, she wished that Mars was further away than it was.
She was under the bed covers entangled with Spike. They were both laying on their sides with their foreheads pressed together.
Quinn had a hand tangled within Spikes hair while the other hand rested on his back. As jarring as it was to be woken up in such away, she enjoyed being able to awaken next to Spike.
God, was she falling for him? No, not a chance. She liked him of course, and lord did he know how to please her, but surely that was the only reason why she liked him... right? Besides, she was too busy for romance, and it seemed like he was too.
As Spikes hand gently caressed the side of her cheek, Quinn grew angry with herself for even beginning to contemplate the future they'd have together. What they had right now was lovely, but she knew it wouldn't last.
Quinn pushed her thoughts aside for a moment as the two of them began to sit up. She kissed him one last time in hopes that her feelings would linger a little longer. The enjoyment she felt when her lips locked with his was a moment truly worth savouring.
This was a moment in time she wished she could keep for an eternity, but again, the painful reality was that it was not going to last forever.
"We've gotta get moving before they start getting suspicious," Quinn stated as she grudgingly dragged herself away from Spikes lips.
The last thing she wanted the group to assume before she departed was that she was just another easy girl. After all the days of building up this tough persona alongside Spike, she didn't want that demeanour to fade away.
She had almost made a name for herself after all these months, and she didn't want her first, and only friends she had made during this time to think any differently of her.
"You're right," Spike frowned as Quinn pulled the covers back. Spike leaned over the edge of the bed as he picked all the clothing off the floor. He tossed them back onto the bed before switching on his table lamp.
Once the room was lit, Spike watched as Quinn reached for her bra.
"Wait a second," he playfully swat her hand away as she bent forwards.
"Can't I admire you for a little longer?" He asked as he leaned in to kiss her on the neck.
Quinn laughed as he dragged his fingers along her collarbone and down to her breasts.
"We've got to get going," she smiled as he began teasing her again. She sighed as he bit at the skin around her neck.
"Spike..." Quinn groaned as his hands trailed down the rest of her bare torso.
"Just a second," he replied, his voice muffled by her skin.
He moved his mouth from her neck, down to her collarbone before stopping at her breasts. His tongue swirled around the tips of her nipples as he alternated between the two of them.
"Spike please," Quinn grumbled as she dug her fingers into the softness of his hair.
"I thought you wanted to get going?" He teased as his fingers began tracing the skin around her thighs.
