It's Halloween in the Uzumaki's household:

It was the 31st of October and the whole village hidden in the leaves was all decorated up in the Halloween design, and everybody was dressed up too.

Everywhere shut down after 5pm, and parents and children got to spend the night together partying and celebrating this holiday.

That meant that Naruto got to go home to his family, and Boruto and Himawari were overjoyed by it. Kawaki was acting indifferent about it, but was clearly excited too.

And you was beyond happy too. It's rare nowadays that your husband gets to go home and spend the night with us.

He was exhausted when he got home, but was determinded to stay up for at least a couple of hours to have some fun, so he downed 5 cups of coffee down his throat.

You tried to stop him after his 3rd since you thought he was clearly overdoing it, but gave up quickly as he was very persistant. Oh well. At least the kids would be happy.

So as he was having his 5th cup, he sat on a stool while watching his family in the kitchen making a pumpkin and pumpkin soup.

You were in the center showing the kids how, and your husband smiled.

You started giving out instructions then to each of your 3 kids: "Boruto, you start to cook up the mash, Himawari collect the seeds and make bird food out of them, and Kawaki, you cut up the pumpkin and take out the insides.

They all got to work as you went to make the bread now as Naruto watched.

"Kawaki, you're using the knife all wrong." Boruto saw how Kawaki was trying to cut the pumpkin and scolded him.

Kawaki scolded back, but the knife down and then transformed his right arm: "Then-"

"Whoa whoa Kawaki!" Himawari squeeled at this; jumping on the spot in fright.

Boruto wrapped his arms around Kawaki's arm and pinned it to his side: "Hell no Kawaki! Are you serious!?" He hissed.

"Tsk." Kawaki retracted his arm and picked up the pumpkin: "Then how about you do it?"

"I'm busy with my own stuff. You learn to do it by yourself." Boruto pointed angrily at him.

"Don't worry Kawaki. I can teach you." Himawari beamed up at Kawaki then.

"No Hima." Boruto butted in: "He needs to learn himself if he's living here."

She pouted.

Kawaki just frowned and tried again.

Naruto closed his eyes and chuckled at this. Kids. Such an enthusiastic age group.

You smiled at this too as you heard all this but concentrated on kneelding the bread dough.

This was going to be a great evening!
