You never knew that you had fallen asleep on the couch with the tv on until you heard shouting in the hallway.
You groaned as you slowly opened up your eyes and rubbed them as you sat up. You recognised the two shouting voices as they contuined on:
"You lier! You definitely saved over my save file!"
"I told you I did not! I can't even get that thing of yours, you hide it!"
"You've snuck into my room plently of time!"
"How are you so sure!?"
You sigh. Not this again.
You made yourself get off of the couch and made yourself walk out to the corridor to find that Boruto and Kawaki were arguring at the front foor.
"You ain't exactly James bonds, I spot you half the time!" Boruto was saying, and Kawaki was about to respond back, but you called at them:
"Guys enough!"
Boruto and Kawaki pointed at one another in anger though; and both voiced: "He started it!!"
You were about witts end now, and your frowned deeper as you activated your byakugen: "I said that is enough!" You growled.
Both Boruto and Kawaki gulped at this in fear. They were scared of you when you are like this.
You move your eyes to Boruto first: "Boruto, if you are going out, then go out now."
"Y-Yes mom." Boruto panicked; finished putting on his shoes before rushing outside and closing the door behind him.
After he left with Kawaki watching, Kawaki turns to look at you then and you let out a sigh. You lower your shoulders, and your byukagen vanishes. Then you close your eyes:
"Kawaki, come with me." You say calmly to your adopted son then before heading back into the living room.
Kawaki follows slowly.
You got you both sitting on the couch now and Kawaki stared down at his lap as you studied his face for a bit.
Eventually, you started to speak: "....Kawaki, you really don't like Boruto, do you?"
It took some time for Kawaki to reply, and you waited patiently: "...It's...not like that..."
"Then why must you always pick fights with him?" You asked: "I'm kinda tired of it."
Kawaki narrows his eyes: "I can't help it. That kids is a selfish brat."
"Kawaki..."
"Not to mention that he always starts the fight first or decide to provoke me." Kawaki was clenching his fists as he was starring at them on his lap: "He's always kind to Himawari, I'm not sure why he can't just be the same with me."
You tilted your head. Was Kawaki prehaps jealous?
You waited for Kawaki to contuine, as he opened and closed his mouth, and in the end couldn't think of anything to say.
You were remembering what your husband Naruto was telling you when you discussed this first with him, and you remember him telling you that it was a boy thing. It's quite complicated for girls to understand, but boys wouldn't treat eachother the same as they would treat a girl. They will always push, but it's not like they despise each other. Sometimes it helps them bond with eachother and get to know one another.
"You know, you guys don't have to change anything about your relationship." You ended up deciding to tell Kawaki then.
Kawaki looked up at you in surprised, and asked: "What?"
"I'm not sure if or if you have ever had a friend who was a guy before, but for guys, this is a normal way of bonding." You explained. "You could argure and slap another to your hearts contents, and still in the end half five eachother and congratulate one another."
Kawaki tilted his head. He was clearly confused.
"What Im just trying to say is, you don't have to wish Boruto to treat you any differently as he does now as long as you both come out smiling and becoming bros again afterwards. Do you understand me Kawaki? So try not to fight as much, okay darling?"
You loved Kawaki and all of your children all the same, and you wanted the best out of them and them to get along. Even if Kawaki wasn't related by blood or not, he was still your precious child.
