Now imma ask yo ass again why the fuck did I get a call from yo damn school saying that you put your hands on another child Eliana?" My mother yelled. She was mad as hell and nothing I was going to do or say was going to make this situation better. " Ma she was messing with me calling me names a-" I tried to tell her but was interrupted by her hitting me." What did I tell you the last time this shit happened?" " you'd beat my ass" I mumbled not wanting to be in this situation anymore. " speak the fuck up child you know I can't stand that mumbling shit"she said grabbing the sides of my face." Mama please let go that hurts" " what did I say Eliana?" " That you'd beat my ass" I said starting to feel her nails in my cheek. I got up grabbing my jacket and heading out the door knowing I was going to be late already.

I go to this private school all the people there are pretty rich one of my moms boyfriends pay for it. The school is a combination of middle and high school and I have all advanced classes so I'm usually always with the freshman's.

As I walked into the class 30 minutes the whole class looked at me." Ms. Graham your late" Mr. Williams announced like it was an unknown thing. To be completely honest that nigga don't know shit I could teach the class better than him if I really wanted too. "I know" I said finding my seat in the back next to my best friends and the only person I talk to at school. " what?" I said mugging her. " You have a mark on your cheek it's bleeding Eli what happened?" Ke'anya said taking tissue out of her and dabbing my check. " I'm fine it's just a scratch it'll go away stop doing that it hurts" I said slapping her hand away. " you didn't call me last night" " my mom took my phone away sorry K" I said trying not to remember what happened last night. " it's fine but you still coming over for that project tonight right?" She questioned me smiling. " I don't know K I have to ask my mom again" I said starting to feel bad that I made a promise I probably couldn't keep. We didn't talk the rest of the class I think she was mad. Honestly I don't blame her I would be too.

It was almost the end of the day and I wanted to ask my mom if I could go over to K's house for the project. "Mrs. Jackson can I go to the office?" " You have 10 minutes hurry up please" I walked out of her classroom into the office picking up the office phone and calling my mom. " hello?" She answered. I walked back into my class opening my backpack looking for any paper I could find. One I found the paper I wrote a note to Ke'anya telling her that I could come over to her house. Folding it I slid it on her desk and finished the work that I had.

We had been studying for a while I met all k siblings their pretty cool but I guess I lost track of time. " Eliana would you like to join us for dinner* Bey asked.
