I breathed in the ocean air and released. I slowly opened my eyes looking out onto the sea. The sea was cold and fresh, the waves crashed onto the ship, all of the sea was so serene. I turned to the island I was heading to and I stared in awe. This is it, Moonmin valley I thought to myself. Now you might be asking, why am I going to Moonmin Valley? It's really simple actually. Back where I came from, I lived in a poor town where the people were never paid well and ruled by cruel leaders.

They never allowed us to create our own businesses. Even if we were allowed too, they would take all the money we earned and they would take credit for it. In conclusion, I left the town to start my flower business, leaving everyone behind so I can create a new future for myself. I shook out my thought as I felt the ship come to a stop at the small dock.

"We're here Miss (Y/N)!" the sailor called out. He helped me carry the luggage that I brought and gave him a few gold coins for the help. He thanked me and headed off to his ship. After I waved him goodbye, I turned back to the forest ahead of me.

Woah... it's so.. beautiful.. I thought to myself. My eyes dazed off to the beautiful left over raindrops grazing on the forest trees and the smell of the beautiful rose flowers carrying it's beautiful scent throughout the forest. It was so silent. Only the sound of birds singing and a stream could be heard, echoing across the valley. I calmly inhaled as I began walking to who knows where.

A few hours later...

It's been a few hours since I began walking for some place new, yet I still found nothing. I began to wonder if even anyone lived here. That was until I saw a tall red and blue house. I exhaled and shook from the sudden excitement of finding someone's home or structure. My feet picked up the pace, running towards the building. I stopped running and gasped for air. I looked up and my breathe hitched. I finally found civilization I thought to myself. I smiled softly. I slowly began walking to the house. As I was walking, I saw a tent in front of the bridge. Another traveler perhaps?

I shook it off and continued walking. That is when I took the chance a better glance of the house. It had a bright red roof, bright blue walls, and a beautiful white porch to fit a few individuals. Other than that, it was just a very tall, brightly colored house with many windows. I knocked on the door, and it was immediately opened by a white, familiar creature with a white and red striped apron. She smiled.

"Hello young lady," she greeted calmly, "Is there anything I can do for you?" As I was about to talk, she cut me off saying, "Wait! Come in for tea first before you tell my anything." I was left there in shock. No one ever just allowed me to come in without getting to know me first, not where I come from that is. Though I just met her, I slowly entered feeling a little uneasy. "come this way miss" she mentioned. She held my hand guiding me to the kitchen. I just stood there, watching her washing the dishes. She turned back to me. "Don't just stand there," she spoke up, "go ahead and go sit at any chair you'd like at the table." I smiled and gave her a small 'thank you'. I soon as a sat down and placed my bags on the floor, I saw her bring my a cup of (cup/tea). I smiled.

"Thank you...?" I slowly began to question, since I didn't know her name. "Moonminmama," she answered, "You may call me Moonminmama." Oh, so she is a Moonmin I thought to myself no wonder why she looked so familiar. "Oh, Well thank you, Moonminmama," I said politely. She simply smiled and went back to cleaning the dishes. When I put the cup up to my lips to take a sip, a redhead girl popped out of a tea kettle yelling 'boo!', which caused me to spill my (coffee/tea) on my (color) (dress/travel gown/cloak). I frowned at her causing her to burst out into laughter.

"You should have seen the look on your face!" she teared up. She laughed and held to her chest until Moonminmama spoke up in a firm, but calming voice, "Little My" she sighed in disheartened tone, "What did I tell you about scaring our guests?" The girl named 'Little My' groaned in annoyance and looked away from her. "Not to scare away the guests or they will not feel welcomed here, I know," Little My murmured in irritation. "Good." Moonminmama was about to go back to cleaning when she immediately turned back asking, "Also, have you seen Moonminpapa, sniff, and Moonmin? I thought they were going to be back an hour ago."

Little My picked up a green apple a chomped on it. She was about to answer when two moonmins and a dog-kangaroo ran inside with a bunch of of bee stings attached to them. Moonminmama quickly ran to them trying to help calm them and bandage them up. I cringed from mentally feeling their pain. I watched them wince in pain everytime she plucked out a stinger. Oof, this is going to take a while... I thought turning away from them.

An hour later...

The evening was leaving, night came along quickly and the clouds have vanished revealing the beautiful stars. "Are you sure you don't want to stay in here?" Moonminmama asked handing me my bags, "It's nice and warm, especially during the evening." I gave her a smile. "That's alright," I declined gallantly, "But I think I'll be alright sleeping in my tent. Besides, I won't be alone." I turned to the tent I saw from earlier. "Oh you will," Moonminmama smiled, "Snufkin is a very handsome and delightful young man." I turned to her with one of  my brows giving off a questionable look. "Snufkin?" I gave slight chuckle in my voice.

"Yes," she said, "He is very quiet boy, but he'll come around once he gets to to know you better." My smile full of questions didn't leave. I gave her a chuckle and murmured, "we'll see." Before I could go, she asked, "Oh dear! I forgot to ask but, what is your name?" I turned back to her with a small smile.

"I'm (Y/N), (Y/N)(L/N)"
