Skid puts on his costume and went downstairs " Mom! I'm gonna see Pump today! "

" Hold on! "

Skid stops and Lila walks over to her son " I haven't you interacted in a while... well... talking in person that is. Is everything okay between you two? "

" Y-Yea. Pump had to deal with some family stuff... "

She sighs in relief, almost fearing that something had happened to his friend " Oh good because you haven't exactly gone out in a while. ".

Yea... a real good one...

" I know... anyways i'll be back soon. See you later... "

Skid left his home which left a confused Lila, but she tries to shrug it off.

Skid calls Pump through his phone " Pump! Where are you? ". Pump then landed on the ground and replies with " Here. ".

Skid lends a hand and Pump grabs it. After getting on his feet he suggested that they go to the Candy Store first...

Might as well get something sweet right?

As they walked, Pump said " Huh... didn't expect you to wear your costume. "

" It's the Spooky Month right? "
" Good point- "
" HEY! "

They stopped at the familiar voice...

Oh... right...

Roy...

" What are YOU weirdos doing here- WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOU?! " Roy asked as he pointed at Pump. Skid didn't take this well " Uh... some stuff happened. No need to be rude about it. ".

Pump then looked behind the teen. Two boys were shaking at the sight of them...

They're scared of them...

He sighs and said " W-We were just on our way, right Skid? ". The older one looked at the pumpkin " But they- "

" Skid... let's just go... " he whispered
" Maybe we should... i don't know... fight back? "

Pump shakes his head " No. It'll make things worse. ". Skid looks at the ground " Fine... ". As much as he wanted to fight back, Pump was right. Sometimes you can't just put fuel in the fire.

They began to walk until Roy got in front of them " You two aren't going anywhere until i'm done with ya. ". Skid kept looking at the ground and replies with " Roy... move. "

" Or what? Is the little kid gonna beat me up? "

Pump quickly holds Skid's right hand and whispered " Skid... no... ". The incubus took a deep breath and says " Please move. ". Robert puts his hand on Roy's shoulder

" Uh... let's leave them alone. It looks like they been through enough. "
" Dude, we mess with these kids all the time! "

They argued while the spooky boys rushed out of there. They quickly got to the Candy Store and took a breath. Both went into the store to get their candy...

Both saw a playground filled with happy kids. Skid wanted to go, but then realized that it could be a bad idea. Pump knows that look and says " How about we go there by midnight? ". The incubus nods and ate the last piece of his candy.

He proceeded to throw the wrapper in the trash. Pump did the same thing and holds Skid's right hand " Hey... "

" Hm? "
" You think anyone is gonna find out... about us? "
" Does anybody know about our relationship? "
" No... "
" There's your answer. "

That night...

Skid couldn't sleep...

He just too overwhelmed...

His mind just can't stop thinking...

What if his Mom finds out?...

He sits up and grabs his phone. He dials Pump's phone number and calls him. A voice could be heard. Skid then says " Hey... i know it's late, but can we talk?... uh huh... I just... i'm scared that Mom will find out... what if she doesn't love me anymore? ".

He was on the brink of tears until he heard the comforting words of his dear lover. Skid then said " O-Okay... i love you, Pump... Goodnight. ".

Skid hangs up and puts his phone away. He lays down on the comfort of his bed and fell into a deep slumber...
