How you met <3

💚Edd💚

You guys met each other the common way. It was a plain day in kindergarten for you. You were drawing a picture for..well, yourself. You didn't have many friends...or any friends at all. You were different from the others. They were loud, crazy and annoying. You on the other hand were quiet, calm, and controlled. You often liked to draw in class when the teacher is teaching. It was currently almost recess, the teacher had one more lesson to teach to your class. A sudden knock on the class door brought your attention. The teacher smiled when a unknown brown haired boy came in the classroom. He wore a green hoodie and brown trousers. He seemed a little shy as he walked in front of the classroom.
"Class, meet our new student! He goes by Edd."
You heard a few whispers around the room.
"He looks kinda strange.."
"His ears are kinda big."
"He looks stupid."

His expression soften, tears starting to form in his eyes. You felt sorry for him, who wouldn't like him? He looks like a cute cinnamon roll! You had enough, and you stood up from your seat. All eyes where on you... including his.

"So what if he's strange? Being normal like you guys is boring! I think his ears are cute and suit him well! Just because he is new doesn't mean he is stupid! Can you guys go and actually find a life?" You yelled.

Edd's cheeks turn pink in embarrassed, he never had anyone to step up for him like that. You turned to look at him, giving him a warming smile. His eyes gazed to yours, he smiled like a dork back.

"Edd sweetie, I think it's best if you sit next to Y/N." The teacher told him, as she pointed to you. He nodded his head and made his way to you. He took a seat next to your desk and looked at the teacher like he was ready to learn. That's until the recess bell ringed.

Every kid got up and ran out of the class doors. "I'm assuming that you and Edd will be staying in here during recess. It's my turn to watch the kids outside so please, don't leave the classroom." The teacher said, then she left the room closing the door.

You sighed in relaxation, and got out your pencil and sketchbook. You knew you weren't a great at drawing, but that never stopped you from doing it. You opened to a page where you didn't finished a drawing. You decided you were going to finish it this recess.

"Wow! You like drawing too?!"

You looked next to you to see the brown haired boy also taking out a sketchbook. He slammed it onto his desk and opened it to a random page.

"I love drawing! I may not be good at it, but I still try!" He exclaimed. You looked at him. It's like you both were the same person. You gave him a warm smile. Suddenly, an idea appeared in his head.

"Oh! How about we show our drawings to each other? All of them!"

His eyes brighten up. You were kind of ashamed of showing your drawings to people but you wanted to see the boy smile. You didn't know why, you didn't like anyone from the class. He just seems... different.

"Sure, I don't see a problem. Hey...Edd was it-?" You said.

He smiled,"Yes?"

"Let's be friends.."

His smile grew,"No. BEST FRIENDS!"

You both started to giggle.

"Sure...let's be best friends."
