I decided to visit my mom today.

It's been a while since we didn't talk.

I called her this morning but she didn't pick up.

I'm on the bus right now on my way to her.

She lives with my step dad and my little brother, Moontae, in a small house in Busan.

Her and dad are always arguing.

Some times, she even sleeps over to my aunt's because of the arguments they're having.

At my stop, I get down of the bus and walk to the first convenience store that I see.

I'll buy something for them.

A chocolate bar for Moontae, some drinks for my parents and continue my way to their house.

When I finally arrived in front it, I press the doorbell button.

Nothing.

I press it again.

Still Nothing.

I decided to put the code and open it by myself.

???: Are you searching for your mom ??

It was the neighbor.

I remember her.

She used to give me candies when I was little.

Me: Yes. Isn't she home ?

Neighbor: There was an ambulance this morning, who took her to the hospital. She fainted in front of the house.

What?? Why ?? What happened??

Me: Do you happen to know in which hospital she is ??

Neighbor: I'm not sure but I think she's at the one next to the subway.

Me: Thank you very much.

Neighbor: Take good care of her.

Me: I will. Good-bye

I have to go to the hospital before Moontae comes back from school.

I take the bus on my way to the hospital.

What happened to her ?

She always makes sure that she's healthy.

She never drinks and she doesn't smoke either.

What could have happened to her ??

I made it to the hospital.

I ask the woman at the entrance if she knew were she was.

I gave her, her name and a little bit after that she tells me the room where my mom is in.

I thank her and take the elevator.

I hope she's doing okay.

I opened the door once I arrived there.

She was in a room with 3 other people.

Me: Mom ??

Mom: Jae-Eun?? It's been a while. How are you ?

She asked me that with a big smile. Like nothing happened. Like she wasn't in a hospital right now.

After a little talk with her, she told me that she fainted because it was too hot outside and that she was completely fine now.
