Moving to a new home. You know how it goes. Well, maybe other kids would love a huge new home. But she was annoyed.

The movers had just finished unloading the furniture. Her help was no longer a not needed and her mother let her go for a walk, exploring new territory.

She was happy to be in the fresh air before she was stuck in this house for the night.

An 12-year-old girl walked up to a bush, tore off a small branch and she started dowsing.

She read a little about the new place while the family was driving. Somewhere on the grounds of the old Wayne estate was an abandoned well. Just this artifact and tried to find the girl with her vine.

As she climbed higher to the hill, there was a slight sound of falling stones. Watch out.

"Who's there?" - No one answered her. But it's still worth checking. She took the fallen pebble and threw it back. Immediately there was the sound of an angry animal. She didn't understand which one, frightened she hurried to get out of there faster.

She stopped to catch her breath after a few seconds and was again frightened by that sound.

"Aaah!" she turned to the source. It was a cat. Was she frightened by a street tramp? She frowned. "You scared me to death, peeling cat", He just kept looking at her calmly, apologizing for his actions.

The cat didn't really look that sleezy. Laid black coat with white spots on the muzzle and legs.

She isThe girl calmed down and remembered what she wanted to do. "In general, I'm looking for an abandoned well, you don't know where it is?"

The cat just kept quiet. "You can't say that, you?" What she was hoping for. Cats don't talk.

She continued her search, saying something like a spell. A beep was heard behind her, it made her slam and turn around.

The mysterious driver quickly descended from his seat on the bike and drove past it. The girl did not have time to leave in time and almost got under his wheels, but fell into the mud, In time for the mysterious person to snatch a branch from her hands. Poor her favorite black raincoat.

He stopped not far from her and began to look through his helmet.

She stared at him for a few seconds and got to her feet. "Hey! You almost killed me!".

The driver took off his helmet. God, he's no bigger than 13. "Hmm, guess what, you're probably from Texas, or another similar desert."

She looked at him like an idiot. And he kept looking at her branch.

"I certainly heard the fairy tale about the magic vine, but how for me it is nonsense. How will a regular branch help you find something?"

She examined him as he mumbled. He didn't look rustic. Black jacket, pants, gloves. It explained that he was rich. Although, she doesn't care.

"Give it back!" She hit him in the arm.

"Ouch" He wasn't in too much pain, but he rubbed his hand that it supposedly hurt.

"I hate being spied on. Especially some crazy with their pet cats."

"He's not really my cat. Just loves to keep company."

"Oh. And for your information, I'm from San Francisco."

"For real? Heh. Okay, I'll believe you. And what brought you here?"

She's irritated, stomping around on the ground. "I'm trying to find one abandoned well. But damn, I can't figure out where he is."

"Stomp a couple more times - you will find."

The girl looked under her feet and jumped. "Oh!"

The guy with one jump was not far from her and knocked on the ground there was a knock of a tree. "see?".

The guy took a stick near him and used it as a lever to open the well. "they say that it is so deep that you can see the stars from its bottom. If I were you, I wouldn't be in a hurry to fall there."

She was impressed. But she certainly won't tell him that, "Heh."

"It's strange that you were even allowed into this house. Usually families with children are denied purchase."

She was a little alarmed by his comment. "Why?"

"Hmm, I think you're still young enough to know that" he shruged at her. " I'm Damian by the way. Damian Wayne." he took off his glove and held out his hand to her.

She didn't really want to, but still she answered with a Handshake. "Raven. Raven Roth"

"What a beautiful name. Well, now it's clear why you're so run-of-the-mill." He shrug. Once again. Heck, it's annoying.

"What? And though, don't answer. I don't care about the words of some crazy people."

From the mansion there was a voice "Damian! Coaching time."

"Hmm, it seems like someone is calling you. Upstart."

For some reason, he did not really want to leave, but decided not to contradict. "Yeah, it does. Glad to meet you, Raven." He got on his motorcycle. "By the way, I advise you to wear gloves".

She looked at him questioningly with a vine in her hands, "Why?".

"With the fact that your magic vine is poison ivy."

"Ah!" She looked at her hands and quickly threw away the branch.

Damian smiled at her, put on his helmet and drove to the house.

She looked at his trail, and mentally showed him her tongue. "upstart".

Raven went to the well and threw a stone at it to check its depth. A minute passed before she heard the sound of him coming into contact with the water. "Hmm."

Based on the cartoon "Coraline."

Raven is 12 years old. Damian is 14 years old.

I'm not sure that it is worth changing the age of the main character to preserve the "childish naivety" on which the plot is built. However, the fact that Damian is a bit older won't hurt the plot,I think. And I have my own arc where the characters will grow and Damian will play more of a role than Wybie (from original) .
