Saliva dripping in epic rivers down his tongue and over his pale lip. His cheekbones were clenched and his teeth glowed sinisterly, a wicked snarls rolling over from his back throat. His toes arched, the dirt consuming his bare feet slightly, as the red pupils gleamed over the black sclera. The cemetery winds rippled against his ragged exposed pale flesh and torn black pants that cling to his skinny legs. His chest was barely visible under the blood red orange sweater shirt that clung to his shoulders and stomach, the sleeveless sweater sending ripples and Goosebumps up his to hands and under his fingernails. The ghoul rushed forwards, his mouth watering as his barefoot crunched quietly against the grass, his eyes in a beeline for the orange-haired prey that slumped before him.
Kuero-Mado could feel the waves smash against him. Regret sieved through his veins and rippled down his spine, rushing over and consuming his fingertips.
Why did father do what he did?
Numbness overcame his mind and crushed his soul as his wormy fingertips gripped over the tombstone.
I love you father...
The ghoul snarled as he watched his frozen prey grow closer. Kuero unaware of the hellish nightmare that drew closer.
...Please come back...
Red veins rippled around upon the ghoul's shoulder, a shoulder blade the length of a broad sword forming slowly.
...I wish I could join you...
The ghoul opened his gnashing teeth and let out a foul screech, salvia spurring everywhere, foaming all over his teeth, lips and chin. Fingers clawed. Kuero spun, fear waving over his face as he realized the nightmare that was rushing, inches away. The blade sliced side on, the orange hair a façade, a blur, as he leapt sprawling across the grass. Kuero-Mado clambered to his feet, his eyes looking directly a sight that shook him to his core.
His father's tombstone.
Beheaded.
The ghoul's blood red shoulder blade had pierced the tombstone with easy.
Father...
Anger swelled in his gut, churning together, grinding and driving rivers of dread and regret to his eyes. His fingers enclosed into his burning fist, shivering madly like the icy wind. His teeth clenched as his eyes swelled, the boy's body riveting in rage. Kuero rushed forwards, uncaring, his father should be avenged. He spun into high kicks and side on blows, unable to break the ghoul's standard defence. The apprentice soon how himself on the defensive as the ghoul lashed outwards with another strike, slicing the boy across the chest as he began a parry and retreat. Blood trickled out of his orange and black outlined vest as he slumped to the grass. The saliva foamed as oceans the ghoul stalked forwards, pupils bouncing happily, delightful at what was the come next.
Scream.
Splatter.
Thud.
The ghoul's head vanished in a burst of droplets as the lime green and blue Quinque rolled back into itself, the blade arched sideways as it struck down, diagonally separating the ghoul's legs from its headless body. Kuero-Mado looked eye, pupils shivering and eyes stone cold wild, to his the grey suit that withered in the wind before him.
Father...?
Tai holds his stance and his broad shoulder raise in time with his pants, the lime green and light blue Quinque wrapped firmly in his fingertips. Kuero slowly stood to his feet, as his mentor yielding his weapon and opens his firm arms.
They embrace.
And once more...
Silence.
