Time ticked at normal speed, however the growing impatience made it seem slower and more sluggish than usual. Ken Hideo waited in silence, gripping tightly to his breath. His light grey suit and collared beige shirt billowing in the night's air. His silk smooth hair arching over his pale silver eyes, the white sclera gleaming in determination. They had spent several months tracking down the infamous ghoul known as 'Violetta'. The long silk silver hair and long curly violet curls made her stand out. Originally she had been titled 'Feline', an S rated ghoul who viciously played with her food, nothing too hard to handle.

However it had been over the course of the last year where she had come into her own league.  A formation of 18 top senior investigators tracked her down over two years before that night, hoping to end the Feline rid her of her putrid existence. However that was not the case as they were soon introduced into the hellish nightmare known as Violetta.

The investigators had been hoping for a clean sweep against the S rated ghoul, however it was too late once they realized that this ghoul was not an S, but a triple SSS. They CCG lost 18 of their best men that day...torn to shreds...literally. A piercing scream ripped Ken from his thoughts as his orange haired apprentice watched him intently, the dark skinned boy determined to win, to survive. Without a secondary thought Ken pushed into the door, bursting into the warehouse, his Quinque, a long spiralling Kokaku blade coloured lime green and blue.

His eyes widened as Violetta stood before him, her one of her four blood red Rinkaku piercing a Dove officer, completely piercing his stomach. The triple S ghoul was completely absorbed in an ebony crystal-like armour, resembling a knight's armour and helmet with a 'V' shaped visor. Hideo rushed for cover as orange and light blue crystals burst towards him, he ducked behind a thick pole as the shards dug into the floor beside him. Hideo was no idiot, he knew he would not last alone without support, but his apprentice stood less of a chance. He glared across to his apprentice whom had taken shelter behind a desk that was slowly being turned to dust by a barrage of crystals. "Run," he barked as the apprentice, starred at him in refusal.

Hideo would not have this, "Run boy!" he spat through gritted teeth, "Or I shall make you!". He watched as the boy's eyes filled with tears of regret and pain, "No..." he mouthed unable to meet his mentors gaze, "Please...no..."

The senior investigator sighed, he didn't want to die. But till duty did us part. He knew the apprentice would run regardless, he was as loyal as Hideo himself. He would run. One more fight...

One last chance to avenge Mado...

Hideo rushed forwards, Quinque gripped tightly, he slid into view, ready and focused. The Ukaku was relentless. Its barrage so sudden. He struggled to block the oncoming assault, as he heard footsteps race away and a door slam behind them. Then. It stop. The onslaught was done. Hideo knew...Now. He rushed forwards as Violetta's Rinkaku flung behind her, his armoured feet storming towards him.

"Hehehe," her voice chuckled from deep within the concealing black, "You're fun."

She leapt into the air as the Ukaku unleashed hell once more. Sweat bled from his forehead as he narrowly parried each crystal blast, Hideo leapt up and sliced to his right, beheading a lower Rinkaku as he landed, spinning to block several strikes. Tears of intensity pouring throughout his body he swung once more, delivering three rapid strikes to Violetta's Quinque beheading them in an instant.

Her wail of agony was nothing that his ears had ever encountered as she fell to a knee. As if a car crashed combined with a million babies in distress and metal grinding against metal erupted from her mask.

The Rinkaku bubbled and hissed as the wailing continued and her Rinkaku reformed, black and blood red spheres forming and popping slowly. The Ukaku unleashed their wrath once more, a sudden burst catching Hideo off guard, he stumbled back as his Quinque shattered in his grip. He had no time to react as he too wailed in agony, a sharp blade piercing his lower abdomen. He felt his tip toes leave the solid floor as the Rinkaku raised him a few feet into the air. She cackled as another tentacle pierced into him. Blood coughed through his lips as his vision went blurry from the pain. Then...

Rip.
