I woke up the next morning in a hospital bed highly confused. A nurse cam In to check on me a couple minutes later. " are you feeling alright" the lady asked. " yeah I'm feeling alright, whats going on?" I aksed. " you where brought here in an ambulance last night" the lady said as the memories came back to me. " where's anna, is she okay?" I said worriedly. " Anna's fine she's just filing some police work about what happened, she should be here to check on you soon. The lady said leaving the room. An hour later anna came. " ya doin alright there muffin" she asked hanging fro m the door frame. " why are you here, how do you know me, your anna kendrick! What? How would you know me! You do realize I Nearly fainted when I saw your face right! I'm you biggest fan-oooh could I have a autograph?" I rambled, she chuckled a bit. " okay okay easy there tiger, there's actually something I want to talk to you abut." anna said walking and sitting on my bed. " you want to talk to me!?" I asked in shock. She just chuckled. " do you remember what happened last nigh?" she asked me. I went threw my brain going threw everything that happened when I realized that she new my name. " yes, how do you know my name" I asked. She looked really tired and sad from the previous night. " well this is really hard to say but uhh-" she stopped mid sentence. " It's okay you can tell me" I said grabbing her hand but quickly retracting it when she flinched. " well uh" she started still looking at her past touched hand. " I'm your mother" anna quickly spat out. What? Anna kendrick is my mother!! You've got to be kidding me! Would that make me Niki anne kendrick. Wait your thinking to far ahead. She's joking with you, she can't be my mother! I thought. I chuckled a little bit before saying " what? Nah your to young you can't be my mother!" anna looked at the floor before explaining that she had me when she was 16 and that my dad had taken me away from her one day without her knowing where I was. "Ok so If all you say Is true then prove it" I said sassily. " my god your just like me, I like that, but ok" she sassed back. I can't believe I was having a sass war with anna kendrick. Truth was I was I was just putting a tough act because I didn't want to freak myself out. " fine you were born on the 16th of june 2001, in maine, you have a freckle on your shoulder shaped like a smiley face and you have a allergy for nuts" I was shocked. I had told no one about my birth mark. I didn't know I was born In maine though. Anna kendrick was my mother! " so your really my mother?" I asked softening a bit. " yep the one an only" anna said also softening. " I can't believe anna kendricks my mum!! Does that makes me Niki kendrick?" I asked threw excitement. Anna laughed a bit. " wow your just like me and sure if thats what you want to be called!" anna said smiling. " awesome!" I said lunging onto her to hug her. I realized what I was doing when she tensed up. I retracted my arms from her quickly. " sorry I didn't mean to" I said holding my arms and looking down. " all good but are you okay?" she asked looking at me. I hadn't realized I was shacking. I've never had a hug. The only time I was in a position like that was when my dad would choke me. I guess It's a habit then. " oh yeah sorry it's just a habit. I'm not good with physical touch, I don't know why I did that, I'm really sorry." I said clearing up my foggy eyes. Anna put her arm gently on me which weirdly I didn't flinch at. " it's okay, we'll work up our way to physical touch okay muffin?" she said softly. I felt calm now. " okay thanks anna." I said. We sat there in the comforting silence for a while until anna said " we should get you out of here" and left the room. A couple minutes she came back with my back. " alright kiddo ready to leave" she said. " where am I going?" I said worriedly. "With me of course, I would never let you go back to that monster, it's all been sorted out don't worry." she said with a warm smile. I smiled at her and got out of bed. My muscles hurt like hell. As If reading my mind anna said "hurts right?" " how did you know" I asked. " Niki that man nearly killed you! It's pretty obvious." she said pointing to my leg. There was a huge gash on my leg sending purple veins up my leg. " I'm sorry" I said feeling bad. " you have nothing to feel sorry about, I should have tried to find you, I'm never leaving you again." anna said with a sad look In her eyes. It'd look like she hadn't slept at all. I walked up to her grabbing her hand. She looked at me and I looked back softly. " good" I simply said.
