I stared at the pregnancy test that was laying on the bathroom counter. A little plus sign on it. The sign that would change my life.
I didn't know how to tell Jack. He was doing so well in his career. I didn't want anything to ruin it. Jack was on tour right now. So without any rational thinking, I walked into my bedroom and started to pack up all of my things. It wasn't the best plan I had ever came up with. But it would work. I had enough money in the bank to start over. I could move out of state, find a new job, get a house, and support my child. I'm 19, so its not like I would be running away. But, I kinda would be. I just didn't want to take anyone else down with me. I know Jack doesn't want a baby, not at this age. So, what he doesn't know wont hurt him. I already had most of my clothes packed. Jack wasn't suppose to be back for another two weeks. So if I left tonight I would have enough time to find a new place before he came back. The only thing I would be taking with me is my clothes and my wallet. I decided to sit down and write Jack a letter.
Jack,
I know your wondering where I'm at. But that's not important. I'll be fine. This isnt how I wanted things to go. But, something came up. So I had to leave. Its for the best. It may not seem like it. But in five years you'll be thanking me. I want you to focus on your career. Do the best you can. I had my phone disconnected. I'm sorry Jack. But this is the best thing for you. I cant bring you down with me. Maybe one day we will see each other again. When that day comes you'll understand why I'm doing this.
Until then. Be happy, don't look at this as a bad thing, look at it as a new beginning. Start over baby. Be happy. I'll always love you. No matter what.

I laid the note down on the kitchen counter. Beside it laid my phone and house key. I grabbed my bags and headed to the airport. I didn't know where I would go once I got there. All I know is that I need to get away.

I just got to the airport. I parked my car in the parking garage. I grabbed my stuff and walked up to the ticket booth. "Whats the first plane I can get on?" I asked the middle aged woman that was working. "The first one we have out is to Alabama." I nodded my head. "That will work." She typed at her computer. "One way or round trip?" "One way." I smiled, trying to not be in a hurry. I paid for the ticket and all of my luggage. My plane wasn't leaving for another hour. I was sitting in the waiting area, waiting for everyone to start boarding. I pulled my mac-book out of my carry on bag and started to look for hotels. Once I found one that I liked I booked one room for a week. Which cost me an outrageous amount of money. But, I figured, the first day I get there I would start looking for a house, or apartment. Which ever one I could move into quicker.
