Later that night...

Miya was alone outside her room, dressed in white with a golden cape. Seeing a crimson mist with glowing eyes, she drew her moonlit bow and aimed for this evil creature.

But the seductive yet menacing laughter is familiar.

MIYA
"Alice!!"

ALICE
"There is something I need to tell you, elf. You cannot defeat me. I mean, look at the situation you elves are facing right now? How will you survive from my men if your men cannot handle their own against us? This woodland has fewer inhabitants than what I observed before. And oh... you have Alucard to rely on, don't you?"

MIYA
"Lay one finger on our people and that vampire, and I will destroy you!!"

ALICE
"Hahahaha... what a cute response from a high-ranking elf like you. To tell you frankly, Alucard is responsible for my son's failure to lay siege to his empire. This is why I want to kill him for good."

MIYA
"There's no way you could do to stop Alucard from slaying demons like--"

ALICE
"Enough of your pathetic ideas, elf!! Even if you have your knight in shining armor, you cannot bring the influence of the Abyss down to a single atom! Instead, you have to tell that hunter that I'm coming for him. Tell him, that I will bring him excruciating agony, and even his already mutilated body will turn to a grotesque pile of visceral mess! And you want to protect him, right, just as you try and try to protect your homeland from me? You're already broken, just as your fallen comrades were!!"

Alice charged at Miya, slamming her to a tree and grabbing her throat, leaving the latter dropping her bow. Also, the blood demoness slowly took the elf's life-force.

ALICE
"Don't worry, Miya. I know your name even before your king faced me. I remember the fact that Alucard slew an army of my enslaved orcs while you successfully defended this forest because of him. Yes, Alucard is strong enough to hold his own, unlike you, relying on a supreme entity to survive. Why shouldn't you worry in the first place? Because you're weak. Alucard once incapacitated Thamuz, and he even held his own against my adopted child. And what about you, saying the same prayers over and over again to be granted a blessing? This is why you're not my prey yet, Miya. Alucard is my top priority now. He's mine to slay, yours to save. How touching if you would ask me."

In response, Miya held an arrow on her right hand and tried impaling Alice's body, which led to a powerful explosion that sent both of them to a fatal blow.

Alice then assumed a corporeal body, first to get up in place afterwards.

MIYA
"It's true that we're saved because of that hunter, defeating even the highest of your kind. Even if you will take my blood for good, you cannot deny that he will not hesitate to kill you. If he cannot hunt you down, Alice, I will!!"

ALICE
"Hm hm hm hm hm... try me. However, you still remain a weakling, I suppose. I deserve to be faced by you, Miya, if you are brave enough to strike me down. Not today, elf, not today."

Alice disappeared in a blink of an eye, leaving without any sign of her.

However, Miya heard more footsteps. Later, a visage of a familiar vampire was seen in front of her bright blue eyes. Still, the archer remained struggling to get up.

MIYA
"What took you so long, Alucard?"

Alucard indeed came close to Miya, carrying her towards the opened room and placed her on her bed.

ALUCARD
"Don't mind my previous injuries. I'll take you to your room. I'm sure you don't feel alright."

Later...

MIYA
"What happened to you? Why don't you even tell me that you're hurt?"

ALUCARD
"It's not a big deal, Miya. I have no one to trust to begin with. Also, I can regenerate. There's an endless supply of blood from slain demons so... I don't mind telling you that."

This triggered Miya's madness.

MIYA
"Endless supply of blood?? Give me a break, Alucard!! I'm about to die! That Alice drained my blood, and she told me that she's looking for you!!"

ALUCARD
"Easy, elf... please rest. I'm sure that Great Moon Goddess of yours is here to grant you any wish. But not mine."

MIYA
"What do you mean by our Great Moon Goddess not granting any human a certain wish? I even prayed for you!!"

Alucard slowly held Miya's hand and placed it on his chest, staring at her and trying to confess after a brief silence.

ALUCARD (in a soft-spoken tone)
"Miya... you're not praying... to take this with you."

From her madness, Miya turned soft and slightly smiled in a matter of seconds, with her cheek slowly turning as red as Alucard's clothes.

MIYA (in a silvery voice)
"A-Alucard... I... I think you got it wrong... I don't ask... our Great Moon Goddess... to take your heart with me... I take it myself..."

ALUCARD (gasping)
"What??"

MIYA
"I said this for real... I want you to be here with me, Alucard..."

ALUCARD
"You've lost a lot of blood... Don't worry... I'll be staying here."

Miya then closed her eyes upon being observed that her skin became paler than what it used to be. As for Alucard, he laid down beside her on her bed and slowly took her tiara off, placing his sword against a wall and hanging Miya's bow on it.

In the Abyss...

Fires surround Alice as she roamed around their castle. A growling, echoing voice greeted her.

"The elves remain as resilient as long ago, the same thing that the Lightborn chevaliers felt after a near-destruction of their empire."

ALICE
"Unlike long ago, though, there are no Lightborn chevaliers that we face right now. The elves are our prey. How could you forget that you also brought the destruction of their forest?"

"That's where you are wrong, Alice. This demon hunter battled against me twice. He contributed to the failure of Dyrroth's siege to the empire, in which I was also involved. Also, he saved multiple Moon Elves from their demise by my own hands during our very first battle. And you're going to tell me that there are no Lightborn chevaliers in action? What about him?"

The Queen of the Apocalypse gasped and realized that this fire demon proved what she herself said to Miya.

ALICE
"Wait, Alucard?? Is he a Lightborn chevalier?? He was different the last time I saw him. Who would have thought a chevalier masquerading as a vampire?"

The fire demon knew that it was Alucard all along who indirectly caused this chaos.

"He remained true to his promises, bitch. He was named 'Alucard' for a reason. His power is compared to that of a vampire, and even you possessed that kind of power. As such, this hunter is a huge slap to all of our plans. Take note, the elves owe him a lot. If you wish to take him down, a lot of our losing battles will be orchestrated, and we will be doomed to fall by their combined forces. It's better for Dyrroth to be aware of all this. The sacrifices that you often take part of will remain in vain since it was because of the red-clad demon hunter. My people will be wary if he himself will show up anytime. He's stronger than any of our lieutenants in battle. Trust me, I reiterate that I myself faced Alucard twice, and we shall see if I will confront him for the third time."

As the fires suddenly faded away, Alice was already unnerved, but that alone did not let her hinder her next move.
