Best Friends?

Chapter 1

"Don't worry I'll be right there!" I say as I hang up the phone with my best friend Jessica. I'm going to meet my friends Jessica, Luke, Megan, Nick and my twin brother Matthew.

'I really hope I can find them' Rebecca thought to herself. It is really close to Halloween and she is walking through a really creepy forest by herself. As she was walking she thinks she heard something. She stops and looks around to see if anyone or anything is there. 'Maybe it was just one of my friends.' Rebecca thought nervously, 'If it is it's probably Luke or Matt, they are always trying to scare me.' Rebecca isn't one to get scared easily so Luke and Matt try to jump out and scare her all the time. Rebecca hears the noise again and starts running because whatever is in the forest, she doesn't want to know.

Rebecca finally hears people talking and walks up to see her friends. Jessica is beautiful with long blonde hair and Rebecca always wanted to be her. Alhough Rebecca had long brunette hair and was beautiful but she didn't see that. Megan has blonde hair as well, is beautiful and a big flirt.

"Hey guys!" I say as I walk over. "BECKY!" Jessica yells! She gets over excited about things. "Hey Beck!" Luke says. Megan looks a little annoyed since she was talking to Luke, well that is until I came. Luke is pretty much the most popular guy in school along with Nick and Matt. Luke and Matt have been best friends forever which is why Luke and I are like best friends, he's like a second brother to me.

"Where were you?" Megan asks.

"Sorry, I had basketball practice" I say.

"You play basketball?" Nick asks, "I thought you were a gymnast?"

"Well yea I am...I also and a basketball player" I say.

"Seriously Nick didn't you know that?" Matt says.

"Well obviously no I didn't Matt" Nick says rolling his eyes, "But wow, sporty and pretty" he says with a smile.

"Thanks Nick" I say with a smile back.

Is Nick flirting with me? Uggh I hate how I am pretty much the only girl who can never tell when a guy is or isn't. Well I don't know if he is or not but Megan is getting pretty mad.

I look over at Luke and he almost looks mad too. What is happening?

"Don't you guys do gymnastics as well Meg and Jess?" Nick asks.

"Seriously Nick how do you not know this stuff?" Matt asks laughing a little.

"Oh come on Matt he's just asking a question, but yes we do Nick" Jessica says with a smile.

Jessica has always had a flirty attitude about her. I always admired how she could just flirt with cute guys no problem. All the "cute" and "popular" guys just see her as Matt's sister most of the time.

"You boys play football right?" Jessica says to the boys.

"Jess you know that!" I say laughing.

"haha true, but yes we do" Luke says.

Matt, Luke and Nick are really good at football, I like watching them play! Luke and Nick are also really good looking so it makes it that much better!

"Wait a minute, Becky did you walk here all by yourself?" Megan asks.

"Yea.....so?" I say a little confused.

"Oh nothing I was just wondering" Megan says sounding defensive.

"I bet you or Jess wouldn't do that!" Nick says.

"Yea no thank you!" Jessica says.

"Whatever" Megan says rolling her eyes.

I'm starting to think Megan is jealous of me or something because she acts all defensive and when people compliment me. Well I mean it's not my fault nothing scares me.

"So...everyone coming to my Halloween party?" I say to break the ice.

"hey, hey , hey it's not just your party Becky!" Matt says.

"Sorry sorry I mean our party" I say.

"Absolutley" Luke says.

"I'm so pumped!" Jessica says.

"hmm I don't know" Megan says "haha just kidding I'm so there!"

"I'll be there!" Nick says.

"Great I'm so excited!" I say.

"Same!" Matt says.

"Do you think this top would look good with my white jeans?" Jessica asks.

"Yea it would look great!" I say so not interested in the topic.

"Good I'm gonna totally wear it one time when should I?" Jessica asks.

" I don't know whenever you feel like it!" I say.

"Come on Becky you are so not helpful!" Jessica says.

"Good" I say.

Jessica is always worrying about how she looks when I couldn't care less.

My phone buzzes with a text from Luke.

What are you being for halloween?-Luke

idk yet hbu?-R

"Who texted you?" Jessica asks.

"Oh it was just Luke" I say.

idk I was waiting to find the perfect costume to scare you;)-L

I catch myself laughing a little at that one

well I've seen it all and no costume scares me! & there is no point on finding the perfect costume when mine is just gonna be better!-R

"Does Matt ever get mad when you text his friends?" Jessica asks.

"I don't know, I guess he knows I'm not doing anything with them so why would it matter?" I say, "Plus they are my friends too!"

"I know I know but like if you were to become more than friends with them" Jessica says, "Do you think he'd mind?"

I thought about it for a second. I've only dated one guy in my life and it was in 9th grade with Brett Palino a cute nerd, but he was really awkward after like a month so we broke up. But I've never even thought about ever liking Nick or Luke.

"I don't know, I guess he never really thinks about one of us liking each other." I say.

"Well the way you are smiling while texting Luke I think he should start thinking!" Jessica says.

I throw a pillow at her.

"Shut up I don't like him like that!" I say.

"I know I know I was just kidding!" Jessica says laughing, "Anyway what's your costume?"

"I don't know yet..." I say thinking.

"OMG we shoud twin!" Jessica squeals.

"Jess your my friend and all and I love you but I'm not going to twin for my halloween party with you!" I say laughing.

"Fine, but you have to wear an awesome costume!" Jessica says.

"Obviously!" I say, "Well, we can decide my costume later I'm going to bed."

"Yea me too!" Jessica says yawning.
