"Come on you gotta do it!" Stacey squeals, "we've all done it."
"I don't know," I look between the faces that surround me, "summoning demons isn't really my thing."
"You're not gonna summon a demon," Milo chuckles, "you're just gonna play Mirror Man."
"You just have to sit in front of the mirror," Stacey nudges me, "nothing ever really happens, nothing to bad anyways."
I roll my eyes.
"Fine," I sigh, giving in, "but do I really have to sit in there for an hour?"
"Yes," Allysa says pulling my arm for me to follow her, "from 3am to 4am, and we gotta hurry cuz we have less than five minutes to set it up."
"I'll get the candles," Stacey calls as she goes to the kitchen.
"I'll get the mirror," Milo says stepping into her they're room.
Everyone goes to the living room and heads out the door once every thing is collected.
We walk swiftly down the side walk.
"Okay so we'll set up the mirrors and candles and then we have to leave," Allysa says with a grin, "once we do, you have to knock on the mirror three time and say 'hello is anyone there?' then you wait. If the little girl shows up in the mirror you have to try not to cry, if the old woman shows up you have to try not to fall asleep and if the hunter shows up you have to try not to touch the mirror."
"Stacey and I got the old woman," Milo says, "she sings a lullaby which actually makes you want to fall asleep. Just keep bouncing your legs and messing with your fingers and you should be fine."
"The little girl tells you about how she died, just try to zone out if you get her," Allysa adds.
"What about the hunter?" I ask as we approach the abandoned building.
"No idea," Stacey shrugs, "none of us ever got him."
Perfect.
"What happens if you do one of those things?"
"Not a clue, some articles say you die, others say you get possessed and other say nothing," Milo shrugs, "we didn't really wanna test it either."
We enter the building and my friends drag me to the basement where they set everything up.
Milo sets their mirror so that it's leaning against the wall and Stacey places her candles, two right in front of the mirror and two further back making a square for me to sit in.
The candles are lit and I take a seat.
"Okay well be back at four, good luck," Allysa says as they sprint out of building.
"Twenty-six and still playing kids games," I chuckle to myself.
I look at the mirror and sigh.
"Looks like it's just you and me."
I hear a clock chime three somewhere in the house.
Time to start.
I knock three times.
"Hello is anyone there?"
I retract my hand and wait.
Move if the old woman shows up, zone out if the little girl shows up.
I continue to wait.
I left my phone at the house so I'm not even sure how long it's been.
It feels like it's been maybe a half our now.
