The sun was beginning to go down, and it was getting too cold to keep swimming, so everyone decided to pack up and go home. Lily, Winston and Narcisco were heading towards the parking lot when Lily started to panic
"Oh my gosh.. I- I can't believe I didn't take it off. How could I be so stupid..? What am I going to do...?Lily cried.
Woah-? What's wrong?
Narcisco said as he wrapped his arm around her.
"My necklace.. My grandmothers necklace I forgot to take it off before swimming and now it's gone forever I'll never see it again.."
Narcisco and Winston did their best to calm Lily down, but all she wanted to do was go home and cry. Narcisco had then insisted that he take her home and Winston just nodded his head in agreement and decided to stay behind to look around. All that Winston could think about was finding that necklace. He knew how important it had been to her and he would face any dumb fear like the water to try and find it for her. Without thinking he climbed to the top of the boulder he had sat on all day to see if he could spot it anywhere. The sun had practically set by now and it had gotten twenty degrees colder than it was earlier. Winston kicked his shoes off and set his phone on the boulder and proceeded to jump into the cold water. He felt around the rocks and pebbles being close to the shallow side of the water. He swam a bit farther than he realized in search for her necklace. Winston had only been in the water for a few minutes and was already getting anxious, tired and cold. He started to panic as he kept realizing how far he had really went and frantically started searching for somewhere to hold onto. He swam to an old fallen tree that was in the water. It was on the deeper side of the lake but it was getting dark and he couldn't see anything else he could swim to before he started getting even more tired. All he thought was that if he got to that tree he would feel much safer. Still in panic he paddles and kicked through the water towards the tree and in the process swallowed mouthfuls of the disgusting water making him feel sick, but just then he finally made it. A branch was sharply sticking out from the tree and as he reached out to grab onto it he noticed a little blue sparkle dangling from the branch. That was it. That was Lily's blue sapphire necklace at the edge of the branch. Careful not to knock it off he pushed himself up and removed it. He couldn't believe his luck. Winston Anderson, ultimate wimp when it came to the water, faced his fear, found the impossible to be found necklace, and was just a few strokes away from getting what he really wanted. Lily would fall for him for being so brave and selfless, and Narcisco would be history. All he had to do now was get to shore.
