Y/n had met my parents twice and they absolutely hated her but I never understood why.
They'd come over often and always ridiculed everything about her.
They came over this afternoon and I ended up kicking them out.
"Maybe if she was a bit skinnier, she'd be a lot prettier." My mum kept saying.
"You could do so much better than this piece of rubbish. There are so many girls out there who are so much prettier than this one." My dad said.
"THAT IS ENOUGH!" I screamed. "Y/N IS PERFECT THE WAY SHE IS AND I LOVE HER WITH ALL OF MY HEART! THERE'S NO ONE IN THIS WORLD THAT COULD EVER REPLACE HER! SHE IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT! I'M SICK OF YOU BOTH AND EVERYTHING YOU SAY ABOUT HER BECAUSE IT'S NOT TRUE! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW!" My mum and dad reluctantly picked up their things and left. Y/n looked at me, completely shocked with what I'd done. "What?" I asked softly.
"What are you doing?"
"What do you mean?"
"You've just kicked your own parents out of your house!"
"Yeah. I did. And it felt so bloody good to do so."
"You only get one lot of parents Conor. I could've gone. You could easily get another girlfriend!"
"But I don't want another girlfriend. I only want you. You are the only option I'll ever want."
"Why though?"
"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me y/n and I love you with all my heart. I couldn't care less about what my parents say about you. None of it has any truth to it. Nothing can come between you and I. Not even the gods above. Can separate the two of us. Ever."
"Really?"
"Of course! You are the only one I'll ever need." She smiled softly at my words.
"I love you Conor Coady."
"I love you too y/n y/l/n. It's going to be me and you forever. For as long as we both shall live. Will you marry me?"
