-Several months later-

It had been several months since Y/n went missing, V and I (it being Johnny's pov since that's where we last left off in the last book) had been looking for her everywhere, but we just couldn't find her. I sighed as the door opened to her apartment, I had moved in after she disappeared, 'where are you doll?' I mentally asked as I removed my leather jacket and tossed it onto the couch, V had moved back into his old apartment until Y/n was found Panam said she'd keep their clan in the Badlands until she's found. I grabbed a glass, poured some bourbon into it, and sat at the computer. I started looking through Y/n's emails hoping to find some sort of clue as to where she was, I was about to give up hope until I saw an email that was just numbered, 'coordinates...possibly...hmm...maybe I should punch these numbers into the phone first to see if they actually are coordinates...' I mentally spoke as I pulled out my phone and punched the numbers in. They weren't a phone number which meant that they were indeed a place to go. 'Well, it's better than nothing' I sighed as I downed my drink, I grabbed my leather jacket and then headed out. I went to the garage, climbed into my Porche, put the numbers into the GPS, and headed out. It led me to a dark alley downtown. "Hmm..." I looked around as I walked down the alley, "why would the numbers be here?" I asked myself as I looked up and saw a ladder. 'Maybe I have to climb' I sighed once more and took a running start, I ran towards the wall and jumped to grab the ladder. 

I used my upper body strength to climb up it. I climbed onto the building and saw a woman and a man standing next to one another. "You're here" the man spoke, I couldn't see who they were in the dark, "who are you?" I asked as he stepped out of the darkness and I growled,  "Yorinobu Arasaka" I growled, I had completely forgotten that V had help from the Aldecaldo's to get me out of his body before transferring me over to a joytoy. Meaning Yorinobu lived. I reached for my gun but he rolled his eyes, "I wouldn't, less you want my friend here to end you before you can find your precious Y/n" he said as my eyes grew wide, "the A at the end of the note...Arasaka" I growled, "yes, now...you have two choices before you. One, you can tell me where to find the merc V and get Y/n back...the two of you will go one to live happily and grow old and do all the things you missed out of fifty years ago, or two...you can die again and stay dead" he spoke as I thought for a moment, "I'm not selling out the only friend who liked having me around" I told him as he sighed, "very well..." he turned to the woman who was still in the dark. He then ordered something in Japan and she rushed towards me with Mantis Blades, I quickly dodged her attack, I pulled out my gun and started shooting at her, but she was faster than my bullets and dodged them easily as she rushed towards me again. I held up my metallic arm as she sliced at me. 

The force behind her slicing at me pushed me back, her hood fell off and I gasped as I stumbled back, "Y-Y/n?" I asked as she stared at me, "who the hell is Y/n?" she asked as she blinked a few times, she rushed towards me again but I stumbled back and caught myself on the ledge of the building with my metallic hand. She stood above me, I looked below me and saw that there was a dumpster, I looked at her, "Y/n, doll...please tell me you remember me" I spoke as she stared straight through me, she moved her foot over my fingers, before she could step on my fingers, I let go of the ledge and fell into the dumpster, I climbed out, ran to my Porche and dove home. I texted V knowing he'll see it in the morning, I told him that we had to talk and it was about Y/n. Once home, I immediately got in the shower. I stood in the shower, my back against the wall, the hot water sliding down my body, and a bottle of bourbon in my hand. I took a swig of it and sighed. 'She didn't remember me...maybe...maybe Arasaka is brainwashing her or something...or maybe they're forcing her...' I thought as I took another swig of the alcohol. There was a knock on the front door, I turned the shower off, dried off, and then slid on my pajama pants. I opened the door and saw a woman wearing a hood. "Yeah?" I asked as she remained quiet, I couldn't see her face, she just pushed me into the apartment, "hey!" I growled as she walked past me and closed the blinds. She looked around for a moment and then sighed. 

My eyes grew wide as she removed her hood. "Johnny" she spoke with a small smile, "Y/n...you're not going to attack me again are you?" I asked arching an eyebrow as I closed the front door. She just shook her head, "n-no...but Yorinobu would kill me if he knew I was here..." she said looking away as I set the bottle on the desk by the computer. "What is going on?" I asked as she remained quiet, "I-I never knew my parents..." she started as I grew confused, "Evelyn...I'm sure you remember her. V told me about her from time to time..." she spoke as I nodded, "w-well she got pregnant once...by Yorinobu" she spoke as I stared at her and started to piece together everything. I leaned against the desk. "Fuck..." I whispered as she nodded, "still a brain in that pretty head of yours" she joked, "does V know?" I asked as she shook her head, "no...Jackie and Mama Wells took me in...Mama Wells raised me" she told me as I signed and ran my hand through my dark hair. 'I'm in love with Yorinobu's daughter' I mentally spoke, "I-I just thought you should know...apparently Yorinobu has been looking for me ever since Evelyn's death" she told me as I shook my head. I stared at her, she stared back at me, "I see you mainly got your looks from your mother" I said as she chuckled. "Johnny..." she started as I walked towards her, "let's get out of here...leave Night City," I told her as she shook her head, "I can't leave...not yet" she spoke as I cocked my head to the side slightly, "not until Yorinobu pays for what happened to Jackie," she said as I stared into her eyes. "Revenge is never the right path...Y/n, let's forget about it, let's leave with V's clan..." I told her as she stared into my eyes, I knew she was thinking.
