"Judy here is the best damn braindance editor there is...now when V went to her and asked her to make this memory into a virtue, he asked her to change nothing...so, none of what you're about to see is edited, the only this that is edited, is that she put in subtitles..." Johnny continued as V asked Judy something, she nodded and started watching the braindance. We watched as it came onto the screen.
Everyone gasped as we watched, I stood there in shock, "this was before V slotted my engram into his head" Johnny whispered in my ear, I looked away as my father grabbed my grandfather by his throat, once it was over, Judy took the headset off, "that man..." V started as he pointed at Yorinobu, "killed his own father...and got my best friend murdered" V growled, my father started panicking to the point where he pulled a gun on V, but before he could fire, there was another shot and my father dropped dead. I blinked a few times and looked at Johnny, "we figured something like this would happen...so we had a certain...Nomad help us out" he whispered as I smiled a little, 'Panam...' I smiled and hugged Johnny tightly. "Stop making it a habit of saving me" I whispered to him as he chuckled and returned the hug, "never..." he whispered as I smiled.
-Time skip-
"Everything loaded up?" Kerry asked me as I sighed, I looked back at the Porsche, Johnny was struggling with getting something into the back behind the front seats, "mother fucking...fuck" he mumbled as I sighed, "almost..." I told him as Denny chuckled, "Johnny Silverhand caring for someone and riding with the Nomads...I never thought I'd see the day..." she spoke as I smiled, "you're really good for him Y/n...I hope nothing bad happens between the two of you" Nancy spoke as I smiled at her, "me too..." I told her as Misty walked up, "here...Jackie gave this to me for our one year anniversary" she spoke as she handed me a necklace, "Misty..." I started as she shook her head, "you were the little sister he didn't have...I want you to have this. I know you'll take care of it" she told me as I smiled and hugged her. I put the necklace on and then looked back at Johnny who was still struggling. "I don't think he knows that the Porsche won't be as good when they go off-road," I said as Kerry chuckled, "he'll figure something out" he spoke, "got it! Fucking finally!" Johnny spoke as I looked at him and smiled. "That fucking suitcase with your clothes would not get into the car," he said as he stood beside me and placed his hand on the small of my back.
"You ready?" he asked as I nodded, "see ya later man...and don't be afraid to come to visit next time you two are in NC" Kerry spoke as Johnny and he said bye to one another. Johnny said his farewells to everyone else. "You take good care of Y/n" Misty spoke as Johnny nodded, "and next time you two are here...come by for a reading" she spoke as I smiled, Johnny and I got into the Porsche, and drove off. I stared out the window, watching the city go past us, "you okay?" he asked interlacing his metal hand with my hand. I smiled and nodded. "Never better," I told him as he smiled and kissed the back of my hand. "You got the walkie V wanted us to have?" he asked as I nodded and pulled it out of my pocket, "there you two are, we were getting worried you had decided to leave us" V's voice spoke through the walkie as Panam's truck drove out in front of us, "never in a million years asshole, you're stuck with me for a few more years" Johnny joked into the mic as V laughed, "wouldn't have it any other way man...everything on your end ready?" V asked as Johnny looked at me, "yeah, we're good to go..." he told him as I smiled, "great...see you when you pass the border" V said as they drove off, we passed the border and Panam drove up beside us. "Hey, Johnny..." V started, "yeah?" Johnny asked, (they were talking through the walkie) "do me a favor man..." V spoke as I grew confused, V then chuckled a little, "just...be careful out there...and take good care of Y/n...she's like my little sister and I love her man..." V said as I looked at Johnny confused who had an amused smile, "I will...I was in your head for a while remember? I know what she means to you, and if something were to happen...you know I'll always find her. Kinda became my job when I told her I loved her. If I were to hurt her...I know you'd never rest until you find me and kill me" he spoke as V laughed, "you're damned right...Y/n..." V started, "Y-Yeah?" I asked.
"Take care of this rocker...I've seen his memories...he needs a woman like you in his life..." V told me as I laughed a little, "I will..." I told him, "great! I'll see you two on the road...stay safe, you two are family...take care of one another. And I expect kids from you two" he spoke as Johnny laughed, I watched as Panam's truck pulled off onto the sand and drove off. "We're not going with them are we?" I asked as he smiled, "I told you, we should just pack up the Porsche and put NC in the rearview mirror...I figured, hey...she wants to travel with the Nomads...now would be a perfect time to just get away...from everyone we know and have it just be us" he spoke as I smiled, "oh! That reminds me, I wrote another song for you...not like the last one." he spoke as he got into the glove box and pulled out a disc, "you're so old..." I joked as he laughed a little, "remember, I was alive during 2015 and 2020...I never did the Aux cord shit... discs are what I used...anyway, the band and I recorded it two nights ago...we used the recording room Kerry has...this song isn't going public...it's for you only" he spoke as he put the disc into the disc tray. "So, some of the lyrics...makes sense if you look back at our past..." he told me as I cocked my head slightly, "one of the lyrics is "I can't believe I said I'd lay our love on the ground" and it made sense because of where I avoided you before Arasaka took you..." he told me as I smiled, "just listen...it'll make sense," he added as he turned it up.
I listened to the song as I stared at him, he was lip-syncing to the song and tapping his thumbs against the wheel to the beat, once the song ended I smiled at him, "what'd you think?" he asked a hint of nervousness in his words. "It was beautiful," I told him as he smiled, "I was so scared you wouldn't like it", "why?" I cocked my head, "I don't know...I had never written a song like that...so it was different than all the other songs of mine you've heard" he spoke as I smiled, "how far are we from a hotel?", "I dunno, why?" he was confused, "cause I wanna show you how much I liked that song" I whispered in his ear as I kissed his cheek, "oh I'm sure I can find us a spot to stop off at" he smirked as I smiled. "I love you Y/n..." he spoke as I smiled, "I love you too, Johnny" I spoke as he smiled, he leaned over and gave me a quick kiss.

So, I created this because I didn't like the way the first one ended so...in game terms, think of this as more of a DLC than a sequel...I much like this ending and yes, I used Nickleback songs...something about those songs just reminds me of Silverhand for some reason. I also wanted an excuse to use the song that's in this chapter for something because I love that song and it's so sweet. But, that's it for the Johnny Silverhand X Reader fanfic. Lemme know in the comments if you want another where you're V because I have a few ideas floating in my head right now, or if you want, it could take place before Johnny becomes an engram and in it, you could be a rocker chick with your own band and Samurai could be a rival band...or something like that...anyway, lemme know.
