Monsoon
It was one of those days where it rained so heavily you could hardly see three foot in front of yourself. Everyone was inside, windows steamed up and street lamps turned on even though it was only four in the afternoon. You would've thought that the heavy rain would keep everyone in. There was however one person who was out in the downpour. They were sat under a tree, sleeping.
Uzumaki Naruto.
He had been out all night training and using up all of his chakra and so after he had finished at about 1 am, he collapsed under the nearest shelter and fallen asleep.
Sasuke was annoyed; not that he wasn't usually annoyed by things; but today was just one of those annoying days, if you get what he meant. He sighed and looked out of his window. He turned back to his room, and, with nothing better to do, he decided to call the dobe. He went over to his phone and picked up the receiver. He typed in Naruto's number.
It dialled for a while before going through to answer machine. It was the one Naruto had made whilst Sasuke was round.
Hey this is Naruto! If you've reached this I'm currently unavailable but if there are any enquiries, annoy Sasuke about them! In the background Sasuke could hear his own voice shouting at Naruto.
Hey, Dobe, don't ditch your phone calls on me! He heard. He smirked slightly at the sound of the receiver being hastily put down. He hung up and then frowned at the phone. Usually Naruto would answer his calls straight away. He tried to call Naruto again but he just the answering machine. He hung up before the machine told him to leave a message. He glanced outside to the downpour of rain and frowned. Surely Naruto wouldn't be outside in this weather. Come to think of it, he hadn't seen the blonde dobe since last night when he said he was going to train using his chakra. Sasuke inwardly cursed and eyed the rain outside. He sighed. If he didn't find the dobe, no-one would. He grabbed his coat and keys before heading out his front door.
Naruto didn't mean to fall asleep. He didn't mean to be having the dreams he was having about his teammate. He also didn't mean to fall for the Uchiha prodigy, yet fall he had done. He couldn't tell the raven how he felt so instead he covered it up with insults. He couldn't believe his luck when he had been put on the raven's team but the boy had been given the cold shoulder by his teammate and it made him slightly depressed. He had to show Sasuke he was worthy enough! That's why he had pushed himself to the limit that night. He had held in his feelings for three years. The boys were now both 15 and teenage hormones were getting the better of them. You see, Sasuke secretly liked Naruto, that's why he teased the Kyuubi vessel so much. He found it hard to show his emotions in fear of being rejected so acted negatively on them.
So anyways, Naruto was stirring under the tree because of a steady and constant dripping on the end of his nose. His nose wrinkled and he turned over in his sleep. Sasuke was walking down the street as the rain pummelled him. He sighed in aggravation and wondered where the dobe could be. He thought about places. Could he be at The Ramen Stand? No, it was closed; Sasuke had passed it on the way down the street. Suddenly a thought hit him. The dobe had said he'd be training late. He'd obviously be at the training ground! Sasuke mentally congratulated himself before heading off to the training ground.
Meanwhile, Naruto was still stirring under the canopy of leaves. His eyes opened slowly and he ached all over. He groaned as he sat up properly and stretched, cracking his back as he did so. His eyes widened as he saw how heavy it was raining.
"Oh no, I'll never be able to get back in this weather!" he thought as he squinted to make out the village past the grey downpour. He sighed.
"I guess I'll just have to wait it out" he thought. He folded his arms across his chest.
"This is too boring!" He yelled aloud. He stood up and slipped on the wet grass. He grumbled slightly as he muddied himself. He rubbed his lower back as he stood up. Naruto sighed and watched as his breath spiralled upwards. He had only just realised how cold it was outside and drew his jacket more tightly around him whilst shivering. His legs finally gave way due to the intense training he had put himself through that night. He shivered more before leaning against the tree and closing his eyes; falling asleep.
*.*.*.*.*.*
Sasuke arrived at the training grounds soaked. He looked around and saw a blur of orange. He sighed.
"Stupid dobe," he said under his breath as he walked over to the blurry shape that was resting under the tree. As he advanced, he noticed that Naruto was shaking. He sighed once more and placed a hand on the blondes shoulder. He shook him.
"Hn. Naruto, Naruto?" He said as he shook Naruto's shoulder. Naruto groaned and opened his eyes.
"S-Sasuke? What are you doing here?" he asked sleepily.
"Looking for you dobe, now come on before you catch a cold!" he said sternly. Naruto blushed.
"What is it?" Sasuke asked. Naruto looked away.
"I can't stand up," he mumbled quietly. Sasuke blushed and looked away. He sighed and grabbed Naruto's hand and hauled him up.
"Sa-Sasuke, what are you doing?" Naruto stuttered. Sasuke blushed as he put Naruto on his back in a piggy-back style.
"I'm helping you back. We're going to my house. It's closest." Sasuke explained as he carried Naruto back to his house. Naruto felt himself blush at the situation he was in but relaxed to the slight rocking motion as they went down the street. He leaned his head in the crook of Sasuke's neck and slipped his eyes closed, falling asleep once more. When Sasuke got to his house he laid Naruto down on his bed and tucked him in. He looked so innocent, laying there. He started to stir and he opened his eyes. A crash of thunder made Naruto sit bolt up. He grabbed onto the nearest thing which was Sasuke's arm.
"S-S-Sasuke, don't leave me!" he cried as a flash of light made him flinch. Sasuke sat on the double bed next to Naruto. There was another crash and Naruto buried his head into Sasuke's chest and started to shake.
"It's just a storm Naruto," he tried to reason. He felt his shirt dampen and looked down at Naruto to see tears streaming down his face. He couldn't resist it anymore. He kissed Naruto on the tip of his nose and wrapped his arms around the shaking blonde.
"It'll be okay Naruto, I promise." he told the Kyuubi container. Naruto hugged Sasuke tighter. Sasuke pressed a kiss to Naruto's forehead.
"I won't let anything hurt you," he whispered. Naruto calmed down a bit but still jumped every time he heard a clap of thunder. As the sounds of the storm died down Naruto calmed and looked up at Sasuke. Sasuke looked down at Naruto and smiled slightly. What happened next no-one could explain. All the two boy's knew was that this was right. They leaned in and locked lips. The ybroke away and Naruto leaned against Sasuke once more, smiling contently. Sasuke laid down and got under the covers with Naruto.
"I love you Sasuke-kun," Naruto whispered. Sasuke smiled once more and kissed Naruto's hair.
"I love you too Naruto." he replied as they both drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
