I was sitting in the bed of the truck while Carly and Wade sat in the front. I've been hunting before with my dad like twice so I was okay with a little bit of blood. Keyword: LITTLEI was sitting on top of a little bucket I found so I was pretty clear of the blood besides my boots, they were covered. I waved at Nick before we took off.
Slowly, I leaned my head back and rested it against the wood that was built around the car before sighing and wondering what Paige was thinking. She may be pregnant and she still hasn't told him yet..
I watched as the trees past by me quickly and looked up at the clouds while slightly tugging on Nick's tank top that was slightly loose on me.
Suddenly, the truck came to an abrupt stop, sending me flying backwards and off the bucket. "Ow..", I groaned as I rubbed my back.
"You okay?", the redneck shouts whilst looking through the back window which makes me send a thumbs up as I get back up and sit on the bucket against while holding onto the railing.
The man got out of the truck and that's when I began to hear their conversation, "Uh, when's the last time that you were here?", Carly asks the man.
He chuckles before I stand up and start walking slowly down the back of the truck before quietly opening it and hopping out. "Well, you don't believe me?"
"I forgot this way in's washed out, that's all.", he tells them as I walk next to him. "We'll walk the rest of the way, then.", I tell him softly which causes him to snap his head towards me whilst holding his hand near his knife holster, making me back up a bit.
I saw Carly and Wade tense up slightly as he did so but mostly Carly as Wade just looked pissed off about it. "Now, why would you want to do that?", the man asks and I just shrug, not knowing what to say or do.
"Look we want to walk, okay? Just let us out now.", Carly spits out.
The man looks at me, "sure."
He grabs his Bowie knife before shoving past me and walking over to the others making me tense up as I looked at Wade through his open window. As soon as the redneck got close enough to their door, Carly and Wade spun around only to see the door fling open by the man only he doesn't have his Bowie knife out.
I sigh in relief, "Get out, then.", he barks out which causes them to both get out slowly, making me feel sorta bad even though I didn't really say anything. "Try to do something nice for someone."
"Look, man, it's not like that, all right?", Wade tries to tell him and I just shake my head before walking over towards the small little water pond with rocks on it. "We appreciate it.", I hear Wade tell the man as I pick up a small rock and toss it into the water with a small 'bloob'
"Yeah, I can tell.", the man says laughing sadly as if his feelings were truly hurt. I turn around and look at him, "Thank you for the ride, sir. I appreciate it.", I thank him and he nods once before we start hopping over rocks.
The man walks back over to his truck and leans against his side of it as I make it across, along with Carly then Wade.
Wade puts his hand on Carly's back as we continue walking away from the man and his truck before Carly asks, "Is he still staring?"
I look up and see Wade peek a little then look back at us, "Yeah. Just keep walking.", he tells us quietly and I nod slightly, grabbing Carly's hand as we do.
"Oh, like we're gonna stop.", I sneer at him with a mean tone. We walk further and I end up seeing a town which makes me feel ten times as bad. "Damn... now I feel like a real asshole.", Wade mutters to us as we walk into town.
