Around 25 minutes later, I turned off the Ipad, put on my shoes, snatched up my phone, pepper spray and stuffed it in my purse. Then I opened my window, and jumped onto the tree outside of my window. From there I climbed down and started to walk to Abby’s house. It wasn't that long of a trip, we would always walk to each others houses when we were in the 5th grade. When I got there, I saw that Abby’s sister had already picked up Lisa, and they were in the car waiting for me. “How long have you guys been waiting for me?” I asked.
“Umm...like five minutes or something.” Responded Lisa, while looking at her watch.
“Well I guess I should have jogged here.” I replied
“It’s ok, don’t worry about it.” said Abby, then I hopped in the car and Abby’s sister drove us to the theaters. We mostly just sang to the songs on the radio than actually talking to eachother. When we arrived we quickly got out of the car, and rushed inside to buy the tickets. We bought sodas, popcorn and some nachos with extra cheese. Finally, we took our seats and the movie began.
After the movie was over we got in the car and drove home, singing once again. We dropped off Lisa first since she was closest, then Abby’s sister had gotten really tired and didn't feel like taking me home. "Thank god! If my mom had heard a car she would have woken up right away, and would have seen me. Then I would be in even more trouble. All that soda must have worn her out, or maybe she knows…...nah.” I thought. So Abby’s sister just drove to her place.
“Are you sure you will be alright?” Said Abby with a concerned look on her face. “I can get my mom to take you home if you would like?”
“I’ll be fine Abby” I replied with a reassuring smile “ besides, I wouldn't want to bother your mom since she has to go to work early tomorrow.”
“Do you at least have your pepper spray?” Said Abby.
“Yes, don’t worry ok, I’ll text you when I get home” I responded and started to walk away.
“Ok, hurry home” she yelled after me; and so I continued my journey home.
“Good, I’m not to far from home now,” I thought.
Then I heard somebody walking behind me, I turned around. No one was there. I spend up my pace. The thump of the footsteps behind me started to increase as well. I turned, no one was there.
“Who’s following me?” I thought. I began to jog home as I heard the thuds of the footsteps increase in speed as I did. “Why is this person following me? What does this guy want?” I thought.
I began to sprint home, my heart began to pound in my chest, my legs began to ache in pain. I couldn’t take it, I had to stop. I couldn’t breath, my lungs felt as if they were going to collapse within my tiresome body. I leaned against a wall panting for air. The thumping of the footsteps slowed down, as I felt the person walking towards my direction. I looked up and saw 3 men walking my way.
