Quote of the chapter: Family isn't always blood, it's the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you, for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what. -Unknown

Jodey's point of view
Jodey sighed and handed the little package of weed to a stoner skater boy, as he was leaning on his car.
"Thank you, man! You don't know how happy I am right about now." The boy smiled and opened the package, sniffing the weed.
Jodey shook his head and shrugged, "No problem, dude. You have a good day." He said, hinting to the skater boy to walk off.
The boy nodded with a smile and walked off, Jodey walked around his car and got into the driver side. His phone rang, and Jodey sighed deeply.
It was ten in the morning, and Jodey wasn't a morning person like that. He just wanted to go home, and sleep till twelve at least.
He grabbed his phone out his pocket of his hoodie, and answered the call without looking at the caller I.D.
"What's up?" He answered and leaned back in his seat.
"Aye, you coming to the lazier tag shit still, right?" Marcus voice spoke on the other end of the phone.
Jodey chuckled, it sounded as if Marcus wasn't up for it. "What's wrong, you don't want to go? But yeah, I'm going. I didn't forget..."
Marcus smacked his lips and sighed, "Man, that's not it. I'm annoyed 'cause Mia's ass got me up at ten in the morning, she know I'm not no fucking morning person." He whispered into the phone.
Jodey chuckled, he sounded upset. "Why you whispering?" Marcus sighed again in irritation.
"I don't want her ass yelling at me, she's a mad woman when she yells. She would be bothered because I'm complaining, but I do love her ass, though." Marcus said, breaking the whisper.
Jodey smile, "You better nigga, that wifey you talking 'bout." He chuckled as the phone got silent.
"Shut the fuck up, nigga." Marcus spoke up, removing the silence. Jodey laughed and started up the car.
"Don't take it personal, my dude. But seriously, when you gone put a ring on that. You know how grimy dudes get, when they see women that aren't single or married. They don't care if they mess up a happy relationship." Jodey preached.
Marcus sighed through the other phone, "Mia is a loyal girl, she's not gone let another nigga touch her." He protested, and Jodey rolled his eyes.
"Both you and I know she's loyal, but you should know she don't want to wait all her life until she finally gets locked down." Jodey said and put his gear out of park, and into drive before driving out the parking lot of a public skate park.
"Man, way are you preaching in my ear. I don't got time for that, and I didn't call you for it either." Marcus smacked his lips, trying to change the subject. Jodey knew it too.
"I'm just saying, you know Mia loves you. There's no doubt, so stop beating around the bush and lock her down. You both are almost turning into your thirties soon, and Mia been hold you down for fourteen years, now."
Jodey didn't know why he was so into the thought of getting Marcus to wife Mia, but he just didn't want to see them breaking apart. They were all he had beside his grandmother, and brother who wasn't really in his life.
"A'ight nigga, I'll ask her to marry me. But I'm beating your ass if she say no, for real nigga." Marcus said, and Jodey could tell he was nodding his head on the other end of the phone.
