"You mean that?" he asked, grabbing my hands.
"Yes I do a lot, so you want me back?" I asked, looking down.
He lifted my chin looking in my eyes "Yes Lay, I can't tell you how much I miss you."
"So what now, we're 35 with two daughters."
"We are adults and we will get our life together and our family. I'm here to help now, you don't have to do it all on your own. Eventually we'll get married and all that other stuff but now we live life."
"So what, we start over."
"Yea like how we were when we first started dating. Except we have a lot more now."
"Ok ok... I'm Alyssa." I held out my hand.
"I'm Derek. You look beautiful today." he said, shaking my hand.
"Thank you. I have to look good for my daughter's birthday."
"Oh kids, well I do like hard working moms. You're a MILF." he said examining me.
"Oh yea. You fit yourself. You work out?"
"Yea I lift, what like 180-ish now. You know I'm getting old, tryna keep up with these youngins."
"Yea don't wanna have you break your back."
"I'm not gonna break my back sweetheart."he said "Yours maybe." he said under his breath.
"What"
"Nothing, but I'd like to take you on a date."
"Where to?"
"My daughter's birthday party duhhh. Maybe the 2nd one I'll bring you out for real."
"I'll take that then. It'll be fun." I said, then looping my arms in his arms as he led us out the room.
We walked out into the living room and greeted some of Alaia's friends' parents who showed up.
"Let's go jump in the space walk." I suggested.
"What like kids." He joked as we walked outside towards the spacewalk.
"We're still young," I said as we stood in front of the spacewalk. "Hey girls."
"Hey mommy. ...Hey Auntie Lay." Alaia and Kayla said coming to the front as their friends followed them.
"Yall wanna make room for me and daddy to come in?"
"Yea" Alaia said, moving the other kids out the way. "Cmon mommy"
"I put my foot up and then Derek whispered in my ear, "She acts just like you."
We both laughed and Alaia helped me in, after she helped Derek.
The kids started jumping all around me as I tried standing up and I fell back still bouncing. Alaia and Kayla tried helping me back up but they weren't strong enough.
"Daddy, help." Alaia plead.
"Nah mommy is fine down there." he said glaring at me.
"Pleaseee daddy." I begged.
"Only because my princess said so." he said smirking.He pulled me up fast and I got slung up but he fell back. Two kids then jumped on the other side of the spacewalk and I fell forward, on top of him.
I fell and we both groaned. I rolled off of him, getting to a corner and started laughing . He was trying to get up but the kids were jumping around him causing him to bounce up and down.
