Now What? - Sequel To "Not Herself"

Part 9

When we get home, it's late at night and we're all tired. Kennedy is asleep but Cade is crying. 

"Cadester, calm down." I say as I bounce him up and down. Jack is carrying all our stuff and I have Kennedy on my back. We get to the car and I put the twins in their carseats while Jack puts all our bags in the back. 

"You ready to go home, baby?" he asks me as we get in the front. 

"Yeah." I sigh. It's a half hour drive from this airport home so Cade soon falls asleep. I lay my head back and Jack puts his hand on my knee. 

        We arrive at the house around 2:30am. I grab Cade and Jack grabs Kennedy. We walk inside and set them in their beds. 

"We should probably go get our bags and stuff out of the trunk." I say as I try to stiffle a yawn. 

"I'll go get that stuff. You go up to our room and I'll meet you there." Jack tells me.  

"Mkay." I say, losing my battle against my yawn and letting it out. I go upstairs and change into a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt I left here. I then fall on the bed and immediately fall asleep. 

~Jack's P.O.V.~

When I get back inside, I leave our luggage downstairs and go up to join Kim. I open the door and see her fast asleep on the bed. I take off my shirt and change into some sweatpants before going over and sitting on the bed. I lay down beside her and turn off the light. Kim's breathing is even as she turns over and snuggles close against my bare chest. I wrap my arms protectively around her and run my fingers through her blonde hair. 

        In the morning when I wake up, Kim is still fast asleep. I don't hear the twins so I decide to just stay in bed since it's warm. Kim moves beside me and I watch her open her beautiful brown eyes. 

"Good morning, beautiful." I smile. 

"G'morning." she says sleepily while stretching. I hear Cade start to cry. 

"I'll go get him." I tell her. She nods and I get up to grab Cade. I bring him back into the room and hand him to Kim. 

"Hi, baby boy." she smiles, sitting up. She takes Cade from me and I sit beside her. I grab her waist and pull her between my legs. She rests her head on my chest and smiles as she moves Cade's hair around. 

"I have to go to the dojo today. Do you wanna bring Kennedy and Cade down sometime?" I ask Kim. 

"Sure. I don't have anything else to do." she shrugs. 

"And maybe we can plan our wedding when I'm not busy. I'm in charge of the office today." I tell her. 

"Okay." she agrees. Then we hear Kennedy cry. "We should probably get up." she says. I get up then take Cade from her. We go downstairs and wait for the girls to be ready.
