Two weeks later and Ollie felt pretty confident in himself. He'd never been good at anything, I mean he wasn't bad at everything either. He's basically an average boy. But now, he truly feels special. He's gotten pretty good at the short-swords, even knocking Chip over sometimes. He still can't beat him though, however one of these days, that could change.
His training with Jay was going pretty swell as well. She taught him how to use multiple weapons with projectiles, such as the crossbow, longbow, and even a slingshot! Though out of all the long ranged weapons he tried he probably enjoys the gun, the one he had most fun with.
However, today's the day that they head to the Navy. The time was finally up, and they were heading straight into Navy territory. It's crazy that two weeks ago they were fleeing from the Navy.
They began to sail towards the Navy base, the major one. According to Jay, it's got the highest security out of all of them. However, she claims she knows the blind spots. So they could sail outside the building without getting caught. Then she says she'll do the rest and that all they have to do is wait a few hours.
Ollie could feel the tension on the ship. Everyone was stressed, he could tell. He couldn't blame them, he was stressed too.
Earlier that day Chip pulled him aside to talk about what's going to happen today.
"Listen Ollie, I just want you to know if we get caught, I want you to run away as far away as possible. I will say this again, if Jay and I get caught, run." Chip empathized. "I don't care how you do it. Take the Big Chipper, lie, steal.
He listed. "Just get out alive, and don't wait for us." Ollie remembers Chip saying sternly. "However, if you get caught, you better bet yo ass I'm going to save you." Chip says determinedly. "I don't care if I don't get out of there alive, my top priority is you and Jay." He says, as he pokes Ollie in the chest and then points up deck, where Jay was. "If the worst does happen, I need you to be as calm as possible. I also need you to be smart about it. I don't want you to go rescue us. You got that?"Ollie nods, coming to the realization of how serious this was.
Chip sighs with relief. "Ok, good." Chip walks towards the door. "Oh, and one last thing." Chip adds. "Keep a close eye on everything, you never know what could happen."

Ollie actually doesn't know specifically why they're heading to the navy's base, all he knows it has something to do with Jay's mother, and that it's very important. Ollie wanted to ask her, it never seemed to be the appropriate time for it. So he didn't.
Instead, he did what Chip told him to do, keep an eye out.
When Ollie first saw Jay earlier that day, she was dressed in all black. He could see the visible bags under her eyes, she looked like a step away from passing out. Eventually Chip bugged her enough to get some rest before the upcoming event.

Three hours later, the crew could see the base in the distance. The navy base was on an island, much bigger than Melpomene. The base had three buildings, all connected with large bridges. All the buildings looked identical with the same black tinted glass and the basic white walls. All of the base was surrounded by a giant wall and a singular entrance. Ollie couldn't really see much with the binoculars, other than the tall buildings that extend past the wall.
"Chip, make a left turn. We'll enter through the back." Jay gently takes the binoculars out of Ollie's hands. Chip nods and turns the wheel left. "When we get close, I'll take control of the ship. You two just keep an eye on things." She hands the binoculars back to Ollie.
