The young couple cheered as the toddler started to walk. "Mayuuu come here!!" Her mom coo-ed. She happily walks over to her. Falling down, getting up, this was all she did for weeks until she's running now.
The little child running around the house brought happiness in her parent's eyes. But there were others who glared at her. By a few days after birth the grandmother, who is the eldest of the house, had told everyone shit about the kid that even her cousins were forbidden to play with her...
Grand Akito's quirk was cursed speech. She can curse someone on will. She never used it on anyone since her sister was paralyzed for life because of her. Mayura making noises and running around had her ticked. She assumed it was not mayura inside her.
One day when Mayura was bathing in the pond. (Mind you she's 4). Grand Akito went there.
"Granny! Granny, look at meee!" She cried cutely. When she ignored her. Mayura playfully threw some water over her. This angered the Latter.
"Curse your eye child!" She yelled.
All that was heard after was Mayura's Scream. She screamed out from her left eye burning out. Her tears were bloody and she cried and cried.
Her mom and dad rushed there only to see the pond in a reddish abstract and their daughter screaming her lungs out. They were terrified by the scene and the father ran to pick her up. He wiped her bloody face and held her close to him. Her mother used her quirk to make her daughter calm down
(I mean she's 4- how would a child not cry like that)
The father glared at his mother. She was frozen there as well regretting her actions.
"TURN MY DAUGHTER BACK!!" he yelled at her with hatred in his voice. This time it wasn't the same son she saw in him
"I... Can't-" she got cut off by him
"WHY DON'T YOU JUST LET US LIVE IN PEACE? AREN'T YOU SATISFIED WITH WHAT YOU MADE ME AND FAMILY SUFFER WITH???!" he yelled out.
Tears were flowing as he saw his daughter desperately sobbing. Her horns that had gone back had come rising and her crying stopped .
"Mayu" he gently called her out. She hums.
"Baby are you okay? Does it hurt?"
(Obviously it does but what would he ask-)
She nods slowly.. And fell unconscious as the father panicked . The mother had overused her quirk to stop her daughter panicking.
"I'll make sure you're safe mayu.. I'm really sorry.. I'm the worst father.."
