Is There A Chance? (Hermione Fanfic)

Halloween Party

"Everyone of you out!" Madam Pompfrey said as she stormed to the infirmary. Hermione and Ginny groaned but Harry nodded his head as a go signal.

"Madam Pompfrey, I think I'm already fine. I think I should go. I have assignments due tomorrow," Harry said and Hermione, Ginny and Ron looked back. Harry mouthed, 'Wait for me outside' they all nodded. They heard Harry complaining about his assignments until Madam Pompfrey said yes.

"What was that all about?" Ron asked and looked at Harry.

"We need to figure this out! We need to know about Blaise Zabini!" Harry bellowed turning around, looking if there was someone eavesdropping them.

"What about the attack? Should we tell Dumbledore?" Ginny asked and Hermione nodded. Harry looked hesitant before he said no. "No?" Ginny asked flabbergasted.

"We can't afford to let Dumbledore know I'm seeing things, maybe that one is really not what we think, maybe it's just a dream," Harry said calmly but hesitant.

"If it was just a dream, why does it matter knowing Blaise Zabini?" Ron asked frowning.

"It always matters, Ronald!"Hermione bellowed which cause an argument to flare up.

Harry looked around, as if someone was approaching, he hold Ginny's arms as he listen intently for a sign of footsteps. Ginny on the other hand, looked at him nervously, they kept walking down the corridor still trying to block the sound Hermione and Ron are making. He grabbed the two which makes them silent for a moment, "What's wrong, Harry?" Hermione said.

"Get your wands now!" Harry exclaimed taking his own wand out. Hermione took his wand out, Ginny did the same. Ron was shaking on the spot. They waited for a moment as they heard voices.

"Come on, Zabini! Just get to our side!" the voice of Malfoy echos around the corridor. No one dared to lower there wands, especially Harry.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Malfoy? I said no! A no is a no!" Zabini bellowed.

"There's a war coming up, probably during the Halloween Party!" Malfoy said which caused everyone to gasp loudly. Zabini and Malfoy walked out from a room, Hermione and Ginny thought it was Blaise Zabini's room.

"That's it, Halloween Party, you're still one of them, Malfoy!" Harry said as he walked forward, carrying his wand higher.

"So, another set of eavesdropper," Zabini said calmly, Hermione sensed something. As he talked, she noticed the wind blew colder. Harry noticed it too as he flicked his head around.

"We're not eavsdropping, Zabini! It just happens that a particular ferret is talking loudly!" Hermione muttered, Ron looked at them intently holding his wand firmly which is hard because it was all sweaty.

Zabini glared at Malfoy who Harry noticed flinched a little, Zabini glanced at Harry and chuckled, "Don't mind the party during Halloween, Potter. Be a good observant too, sometimes you wouln't notice a snake slither out," he chuckled and walked away.

"You traitor, Zabini!" Malfoy shouted and glared at each one before walking away too.

"So, it's official! It's on Halloween Party," Ginny sighed looking worried.

"Halloween Party is one day away! What will we going to do?" Hermione frowned and groaned.

"Keep your eyes open and notify the DA, tell them we're going to have a meeting in the Room of Requirements now," Harry said calmly as they walk towards the Room of Requirement. Ginny flicked the coin she has symbollizing that she just called the DA's members.

"Harry what happened? Is something wrong?" Luna asked as she approached them with Neville. Nobody answered her.

As everyone we're gathered together, Harry started talking, "There's going to be an attack, during the Halloween Party!" Harry said which caused everyone to murmur and whisper. "I want all of you to keep your eyes and ears open, wear comfortable clothes and keep your wands ready!" Harry continued.

"Who's going to lead the attack?" Cho asked and Harry sighed.

"Voldemort, Malfoy said so himself!" Harry said in clenched jaws.

"I thought Voldemort's dead?" Parvati commented. 

"We thought too," Hermione said nervously.

During the party, every DA member wore matching outfits like for the girls, they wore the same dresses with different colors and matching boots. While for the boys, they wore simply in tattered comfortable jeans and shirt. Everyone followed what they were told. Professor Dumbldore stood up and started talking.

"Everyone, each of you has great talent in showing who you were. It's just that the DA member wear clothes simply," Dumbledore smiled and everyone brought their gaze to the scattered DA member. "Before anything else, I want you to find a partner, this night will be fun! We'll play a random music, if the music changes, turn around and face another partner!" everyone groaned and the teachers chuckled. 

The DA member positioned themselves together at the sides, while the normal students in the center, they looked at each other nervously, they brought their gaze to Malfoy who was just sitting alone on a table, "One should go partner up with him!" Seamus suggested.

"No! Leave him be, but keep an eye of him," Harry said and walked off only to find Ginny.

After several hours everything turned dark, the DA member brought their gaze to Malfoy but, he wasn't there anymore.

"Seamus, Neville lead five members to go look for Malfoy, the others, help fight the death eaters and Hermion, Ginny and Ron, let's go find Zabini," Harry said.

"ZAbini?" everyone said unison.

"Explain after!" Harry shouted, the attack begun, stones flew as either side started summoning spells.

Harry ran with Hermione, Ginny and Ron by his side, he thought 'Voldemort's second attempt to crush my home down and kill the person who stand as my father all these years!' he gritted his teeth angrily.
