Joseph was awoken to the sound of heavy wind and rain pounding against the walls of the tent. It was a miracle that it was still standing, but he knew that he would have to get himself and Kevin to better shelter soon. He began packing their things in his 50L Waterproof Ultra Lightweight Hiking Backpack, Frameless, Outdoor Sport Daypack Travel Bag for Climbing Camping Touring Mountaineering Fishing (Blue) and Kevin's TETON Sports Scout 3400 Internal Frame Backpack - Hunter Green. When he was done with the essentials, he woke up Kevin.
"Kev... The storm is getting really bad we have to go now." Whispered Joseph.
"So it is..." Said Kevin, groggily.
"If this is anything like the storm that hit six years ago, we have to get moving now." Said Joseph.
Kevin got up and got himself ready. While he was doing so, Joseph double-checked to make sure he had packed everything. When the couple was ready, they exited the tent and were immediately slammed with the pressure from the storm. They had to hold on to one another as they made their way out of the encampment and into the woods, where the trees would shield them.
"Where should we go?" Asked Kevin.
"The city, I rode out the storm in an abandoned factory." Responded Joseph.
They followed their standard trail to the city, carefully clinging on to each other and the surrounded environment incase a strong gust hit. While they made their way, Kevin was secretly hoping to see the little dog again. He was concerned as to how such a small creature would survive the storm. Kevin was in luck, as they found the dog when they reached a small clearing.
"Joe, look! It's him!" Said Kevin excitedly, running over to the dog.
"Careful Kevin!" Said Joseph, running after his lover.
The little dog was fixated at the distant city. Even as the couple approached it, it didn't budge.
"The poor thing is petrified..." Worried Kevin.
"No wait, he's looking at something..." Noticed Joseph.
Joseph and Kevin followed his gaze, and saw a storming mass at the center of the city. It seemed like giant chunks of debris were flying everywhere, spiraling a massive figure. Neither of them were able to make sense of it, but it frightened them. Suddenly the wind picked up, and it almost sounded like demonic chuckling.
"Maybe we shouldn't go there after all." Said Joseph.
You must. A voice said into their heads.
The couple looked around confusingly, there was no one else around.
Down here. It seemed to be coming from the small dog.
"It's... It's talking to us, Joe..." Said Kevin, absolutely astonished.
You are the only ones left.
"What..." Questioned Joseph, also in disbelief.
You can see her as well. Walpurgisnacht is approaching once again.
The couple looked back up at the figure. Now, they could distinguish a heavily distorted female form in the cloud of debris.
She will finish humanity off this time. Unless you stop her.
"This is crazy... How are we supposed to stop that thing?" Asked Kevin.
"Hold on, we're not stopping anything. We have to keep moving." Responded Joseph.
Form a contract with the Incubator. He will arrive soon.
Joseph tried grabbing Kevin to walk away, but he refused to move.
