She looked out the window and saw the palace, it still hasn't changed since I was last there she thought. When Willowdene got there she was so amazed. Wow she thought I've never been to a ball before now; even a masquerade ball. As she walked up the stairs through the big corridor and down to the big ball room. It was filled with people dancing and talking. She walked towards a seat and sat down. She drank some of her champagne. Then she heard the announcement saying the first dance was up, she saw everyone get on the floor and start to dance she looked nervously around to see if anyone would dance with her but she had no one to dance with. Well that's what she thought, until she saw a guy with a white mask in a tux come up to her and asked her if she wanted to dance. After a moment of silence, Willowdene nodded and walked on the dance floor with this unknown man. They started dancing to the song "Mariage d'Amour" as well as various other music. "What's your name?" the man asked? "My name is Willowdene," she said. "Very lovely name," he said. "Thank you." "Well my name is Cedric," the man said with pride. "Well, nice to meet you Cedric." "Nice to meet you too," Cedric said.
"Did you know you look very pretty" Cedric asked as he stared into her eyes
"but we just met how can you make a bold assumption like that?" she asked
"I can just tell that your pretty just by looking at you and because of your personality" Cedric said
" True love at first sight" She joked but she really met it
"Yea" Cedric laughed awkwardly
After that they talked and danced the whole night.
"Check the Ballroom she might be there!" the king said
"will do your highness" the guards said
As the guards walked in they scanned the area
It was very beautiful. Cedric started to fall in love, even though he knew very little about her, he still knew she was the one. I can't wait to tell Agnes about cedric! Willowdene thought but then the music stopped, people looked to the back and saw the guards walk in. Oh no they might find me she thought. The guards scanned the place for the "lost princess." "I have to go!" Willowdene said in an anxious voice "wait!" Cedric grabbed her arm. "Why's that?" He questioned "I just have to go!" she said as she let go from his grasp. "Wait! When will I see you again?" Cedric asked. "Meet me at the cathedral down on Church Street!" She said "alright, i had a lovely time with you!" he said but she didn't hear him. She already ran out of the palace.
"Your highness i think we found her!" The guard said
"well where is she?!" the king asked angerly
"she ran out before we could catch her, were sorry your highness"
"YOU GUYS NEVER DO ANYTHING RIGHT!" The king yelled
Willowdene ran so fast her mask fell and her blue charm bracelet. Cedric started to run out of the palace and saw she dropped her mask and a bracelet he picked it up and said "Wait! You forgot this!" He held a blue charm bracelet her mom gave her when she was 10. But by that point she was gone. I'll give it to her tomorrow, he thought. If there was tomorrow.
"Agnes! Agnes!" willowdene yelled. "What's wrong?!" She said in a worried voice "the guards! They were looking for me! I saw a guy and we started to dance. I was having fun but then I saw the guards and I ran" Willowdene said while trying to catch her breath "oh my god they didn't see you right?!" Agnes said in a worried tone "yes they didn't see me, but i left cedric.." "Oooo, who is Cedric?" Agnes asked "someone.. I'll tell you later! I need some water." willowdene said, out of breath. "will people be suspicious of me? Because i did run out of the palace." Willowdene asked "im not sure sweetheart, but be careful out there tommorrow they might find you" Agnes said worriedly
