Finishing my phone call with Mike roberts when a knock at my door stopped me from angering.

" come in?" I said leaning back into my chair

Lilly came walking in her face red from crying.
I immediately stood and walked over to her small frame hugging her tightly " Lilly what's wrong? Sit please" I quickly dialled coralines number " English tea and a coffee please to my office"

I sat back at my chair and gestured for Lilly to tell me what's wrong.

" Jasper I miss Lauren so very much. Lexi has learned the ropes. I'm going to use your gift to london next week. She needs me"

A small smile crept onto my face " of course lilly go for as long as you need. You deserve it"

Inside I was screaming, it would mean contact with lexi and I didn't want that I knew my feelings were there, But Lilly was like a mother to me and I loved her dearly like she was my mom anyway so it was Important for her to see her daughter.

Coraline rushed in with our drinks " anything else sir?"

" that will be all. Thank you coraline"

I might live a solitary life from outsiders but I would never be rude to my staff, I believe in manners. Lexi would be an exception I need to be short with her I don't want any attention to come between us, truth be told I was extremely attracted to her.

As coraline left I seen lexi stood at the door, I tensed in my chair " yes lexi?"

She hesitated for a moment before gaining her composure " sir. Your sister keeps emailing. Your ignoring her about the annual anniversary ball or something"

Ahh yes my annoying little sister, the death of our parents is approaching she organises a yearly ball with the most riches families attending, she always tries to set me up with girls, this year it's her friend from around here who I know I'll have zero interest in.

Lilly nodded " very good. I'm leaving for london in two days" Lilly said before getting up
