No warnings just fluff, enjoy :)

Harry James Potter...The Boy Who Lived...Also known as my idiotic and danger seeking boyfriend.

Once again, I'm sitting on the couch in our small flat, waiting. I'm worried sick, just like every other night. Since he started working as an auror, my evenings have been filled with fear and worry. Especially on missions like these, I count every minute until he gets home.

This time It was taking longer than usual, I looked at the clock on the wall.

"It's 2 am already?" - I said to myself, surprised I've been staying up for this long.

That was the last straw, I was not about to spend the whole night thinking about if he's okay or not. I took some parchment and a quill, as I sat down the sound of the front door opening caught my attention.

"Darling?" -a soft voice spoke "Are you here?"

I poked my head out into the hallway. I could see him smile at my presence, but as soon as he saw my facial expression, he got scared.

"Where have you been?! It's 2 in the morning! I was worried sick!" - I shouted at him, throwing the parchment at his face.

He looked at me with what looked like guilt.

"I'm sorry my love, tonight was rough." - he spoke as he approached me. I was about to speak up when he pulled me into a tight embrace.

"You can be mad at me later, let me just enjoy being back with you, okay?"

I softly nodded and held him back, nuzzling my face in the crook of his neck. I breathed in his scent, the smell of treacle tart and walnut shampoo filled my lungs. I immediately relaxed, knowing that he's safe and back In my arms.

Suddenly, with no warning, he started swaying us side to side. I smiled a bit.

"What do you think you're doing?" - I asked, still grinning.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" - he asked, holding me just as close as before.

"Harry we both know you can't dance. Besides, even if you could, we still don't have any music playing."

He chuckled slightly.

"How dare you make fun of my dancing skills? For your interest madame, I've been practising." - he said it as confidently as he could, but I could tell that he got shy. How you may ask? The red tint on his cheeks is always a huge giveaway.

"Oh really now?" - I asked smirking "Why have you been practising? Want to take me out to a dancing festival or something?" - I giggled.

"No" - he answered seriously. "I've been practising for our wedding day."

I would've spat out some water If I had any. I was caught completely off guard by this statement. Wedding? I mean sure I've thought about marrying him, but we've never actually talked about it...

Nonetheless, this still made me smile unconsciously. I imagined myself walking down the aisle in a white dress, fitting me perfectly and him standing, staring at me with his jaw dropped. Everyone staring and admiring the love between us. Wow, what a dre------.

"Darling? Are you okay?" - that snapped me out of my trance, but my smile still lingered on. He obviously noticed, but didn't say anything, just smiled back. We took a moment, just looking at each other, before I broke the silence.

"So, how about that dance?"

He smiled even brighter than before, slowly, his hands travelled down to my waist, his eyes never leaving mine.

I snapped my fingers and the radio from the living room started playing. The music immediately filled up the comfortable silence, "I Hear a Symphony", one of our favourite songs. (I know the time doesn't make sense but shush! Btw the song is up above if u wanna listen).

We started swaying yet again, this time we had a melody to follow. I rested my head on his shoulder while my arms found a way around his neck. I was in pure bliss.

He was holding me so tightly, It seemed like he was scared of letting go, he didn't want the moment to end and neither did I. I loved the feeling of him holding me, hearing his heartbeat was better than any melody and his warm breath just reminded me that he's right here, with me, safe. That's all I've ever wanted.

Neither of us cared how late it was, all of my worries from earlier were completely gone. I was living in the moment and enjoyed every bit of it. Nothing could ruin this, not the wind howling outside, nor the noisy neighbours from the floor above, this was perfect.

Moments like these are the ones me and Harry cherish the most, they're so simple and even cliche, but they're special because of how much they make us love each other even more. Which, I didn't think was even possible.

The song came to an end, we stopped dancing but didn't pull away. We stood there, the radio stopped too, so the only thing heard was our silent breathing.

He took my chin and placed a soft kiss on my lips, It was slow and full of love. Sadly it quickly came to an end and Harry broke the silence.

"I believe it's time for bed m'lady" - he smiled.

I giggled at the nickname and took his hand, interlocking our fingers.

"I guess you're right kind sir, please, lead the way to our sleeping quarters."

He bowed and led us to our shared bedroom, we changed into some comfy pyjamas and cuddled up under the sheets. As always he made sure to hold me close to his chest.

"(Y/n)?" - he asked suddenly.

I hummed in response.

"Loving you was the best decision I've ever made." - he said it so genuinely, I was about to let myself cry.

"You're really cheesy, you know that right?" - I giggled.

"But you still love me darling." - he grinned.

I looked up at him and pecked his soft lips.

"I do, now and always."

And with that, we drifted off to sleep, both of us at peace. Tangled up under the sheets. Who could've thought loving someone could be so perfect?
