"Oh, 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺. Yep... sorry... excuse me!"
The frantic student clutched onto the straps of their backpack even tighter as they felt themselves get lost in the crowd. Recently, y/n had just moved to a new town, and today was her first day at a new school. And right now she was struggling to breathe, her small frame getting smooshed into the bodies of others. So far, first impressions weren't that great. But she was going to stay positive, because that's what y/n knew best.
Eventually after what seemed forever, the mass of pupils finally came to an end, and y/n had launched herself into the open air. Admiring the modern architecture, y/n mindlessly wondered through the hallway, keeping a steady eye in front of her.
𝙏𝙃𝙐𝘿!
The clueless girl came crashing down to the hard concrete floor, her colourful books and stationary stumbling everywhere. Confused, y/n looked up to see a tall figure with a disgruntled look on his face. With a snarl, he aggressively dusted his blazer. Y/n then peered behind the boy to see a group of 4 accompanying him, all standing confidently, garnering sympathetic looks from the growing audience.
"Aish... can't you watch where you're going??" The handsome boy harshly said
Still puzzled, the girl responded, "Huh? I think you got it wrong, you bumped into me..." Y/n looked around to see the dirty faces of all the students looking down on her. Whispers and scoffs echoed throughout the hallway as unsatisfied students angrily gossiped into their friends ears.
"I bumped into you? Hah! You guys see the nerve this girls got?" The annoyed boy was now smirking at his friend, producing a murmur of agreement through the mob of onlookers.
"I-I'm sorry.." The girl stuttered apologetically.
"Whatever." The boy tutted as he purposefully bumped y/n's shoulder whilst leaving, signalling for his crew to follow him out.
As y/n sat there in the midst of the crowd confused, a sorry-looking boy hurridely assisted y/n, and helped collect all her belongings before handing them back to her. Meanwhile y/n was dazed by his ethereal appearance. This boy was handsome. He had a prince-like face and dark royal hair. He smelt expensive. He must've been part of the other boy's friends, he looked like he belonged with them.
"Ah, I hope that's okay." The sweet boy smiled as he bowed before tailed behind his friends. Y/n continued speechless before the ooze of excitement between the students snapped her back into reality. She immediately lifted herself off her knees, shaking-ly reaching for her books before scuttling down the corridor.
----
"Hi, my name's y/n, can I sit with yo-"
"Don't even talk to her, she has beef with NCT." A girl pulled her friend aside as she eyed y/n, making y/n retract her shaky hand.
𝘕𝘊𝘛? y/n thought to herself
Still determined to make at least one friend, the enthusiastic girl headed towards another group of students.
"Hello there, I see you have a seat can I-" before the girl could finish her sentence the group of people turned away and left, a deadpan expression on their faces. Geez, why was everyone so rude to her for no reason? She had been in the school for less than a day, and it seemed too many people would avoid her like the plague.
With a beam brighter than the day, y/n moved on to her next target. "Hi, I'm y/n--"
"And hi, I'm here to save you from more embarrassment" before she could finish her sentence, y/n was greeted by a cute boy who flashed her a sarcastic grin. The other students who y/n had approached sighed a breathe of relief, quickly turning their backs so they were no longer involved. "How about you come and sit with me and my friends today? You looked pretty desperate out there."
