Forever Together

Chapter 1

Mei's POV
"Hey Mei, Sit here!" My good friend exclaimed, I nod but my heart was beating fast. It was next to Kirotashi, a guy I've liked for a long amount of time.

My hands started to shake as I breathed heavily. I sat down and tried to act natural.

I hear the door of the classroom open with footsteps heard clearly. I saw out History teacher, she was pretty young and I heard she graduated at a pretty early age.
After a long boring discussion, I hear the bell ring. "Class dismissed." Our teacher said as everyone stood up and shuffled in their things into their bags.

I felt a hand grab mine, it was gentle and soft. "Hey Mei, Long time no see!" He said with his hand still on mine, I blush slightly at how long he held my hand, he still had a grin on his face.
"Y..yeah..." I said, stuttering at my words. It felt inevitable to ignore how long he held my hand. I try acting casual as we both talked and held hands.

"Hey Mei, I need to tell you something tomorrow. It's pretty.. Important." He said to me with his cheeks slightly turning pink. I nod as we both part our ways to our classes.

-Time Skip-

After classes, I went to my locker to put back all the things I didn't need. I felt a slight tap on my shoulder, I shift my head to see Kirotashi grinning at me. I slightly flinch but shrugged it off.

"I always wanted to tell you that- I like y-you.." he said stuttering and shaking at his words. I held his hands as I hug him tightly. I felt him getting a bit shocked but he hugged back.
"I do too" I smile at him. "We're still friends though, right?" He asked. I nod in reply as we both walked together since I excused myself to my friends to get to walk with Kirotashi. "Heh, I miss these walks. Remember, when we were young? We always used to do this." He slyly smiled as he gazes into the warm sunset ahead of us.

It started to get dark as we got to my house. "I think you should just stay in my house tonight so you don't have to walk in the dark" I offer to him. He nods as we both enter into my house.
I press on the light switch as the bright lights in the room slyly flickered. We step in the living room as place my bag on the floor beside the sofa a soft thud was heard as I place my bag, "You can place it here." I point at the blank space beside me.

He nods as he gently puts his bag beside mine. "Do you have any homework? Because I don't" Kirotashi said, breaking the quick silence between us.

I shake my head saying 'no' as I spoke "I'm going to make some dinner, You can watch some tv while I'm at it."
I said twitching my head on the tv. "Can I help you with it? And can we make some chicken teriyaki?"
Kirotashi suggested. "Sure, help with chopping the garlic, maybe just even use the garlic powder"

Kirotashi's Pov
I nod and stood up from the couch as I got the chopping board and knife from the drawers of the kitchen. I walk over to the other side of the counter and got a few garlic cloves. I mince the garlic as I put it into the bowl.

I saw Mei bring out some Sesame sauce as she placed it into the glass bowl as she mixed the ingredients together.
She got some chicken and sliced them on the chopping board as she carefully places all of the pieces into
the mixture we have made. She places a cover over the glass bowl and sets it on the empty space on the marble counter. We both clean the dishes we used and sat down on the couch as we waited for a few solid minutes.

After a few bowls of popcorn and episodes we stood up from the couch and we cooked the chicken. After we cooked it we placed it onto some black and red bowls with rice below the teriyaki. She adds some sauce on top and gets some chopsticks. We both sat on the dining table as I thank her for the food.

She grins playfully and we both started eating. After eating, we watched a few more movies this time in Mei's room. After a few hours, she fell asleep in my arms. I embrace her as I fell into slumber.
