Choose a Spiritual Path and True Guide

Islam is testifying and believing La ilaha illalLaah Muhammadur Rasoolullaah (There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah)

It's one straight path. But not a narrow one, rather it is very wide. To be able to reach La ilaha illalLaah, you have to follow and hold on to Muhammadur Rasoolullaah.

In Islam, there are four madhabs (schools of thought), and you can practice, give attention to any one madhab; they are like four lanes in a highway, all representing the shariat, the Divine law and leading to the correct destination.

Inside of the Divine Law is the Tariqat, the Divine Way.

Shariat is the Do's and Don'ts of the Prophet Alaihi Salaatu wassalaam. But Tariqat is his ﷺ lifestyle.

It's not just how you dress or what you eat or how you drink but how you think, how you feel, how you see, how you hear, the manners of the Prophet Alaihi Salaatu wassalaam.

This spiritual way one cannot learn from books. It is impossible. You need a living Guide for that; else shaitan will become your guide.

The spiritual ways in the path of Islam has been granted permission by the Prophet Alaihi Salaatu wassalaam. Forty ways have been given to Hazrath Ali (K.W) and one way to Hazrath Abu Bakr Siddiq (R.A).

Choose a spiritual way and choose a true living guide.

You may think that it is you who is doing the choosing but in reality they (the spiritual guides) are choosing you.

When you take that spiritual way inside of the path of Islam and follow the authority of a Master who is a true representative of the Prophet Alaihi Salaatu wassalaam, then you will come to learn about yourself, you will understand yourself.

Because you have to learn and understand yourself for you to know your Lord;

This Tariqat is the way of the heart, difficult when compared to Shariat; so hold on to your Guide and it would be made easy for you in sha Allahu ta'Ala.

And slowly your hearts may turn from worshipping yourself and the dunya to worshipping your Mawla, Lord of the Universe.
