The Laybrith Of The Lamia

the search for answers

Five years has past since the battle with Jasmine's army at the academy. Misty has gone on a journey searching for answers to the strange demon lord that took Jasmine for the five years of searching has turned up very little information on who it could be considering that the demon lords along with the demon king has been exterminated during the war when the guardians served the gods. She has been searching the demon realm at the remains of the castles that once belong to the demons, but has turned up nothing. Misty is at a castle looking through the records that have survived when she comes across something that might help her. She looks at the worn out page of a book of a artifact that could answer her question that once belong to the demon lord of knowledge, deceit, and betrayal, a magical orb that was taken by the God of wisdom and was sealed inside a vault guarded by a giant creature know only as the lamia. She reads the accounts of other demon lords marching troops to the vault only to never return, she closes the book and stuffs it into her bag. "This is going to be very hard even for me, mm guess I should see how those love birds have been doing" she opens a Portal and dissappears.

Tim and Ashley are busy out in the village gathering groceries for the inn since the new wave of adventures coming to explore the ruins of Ashley's former home. Since Jasmine's defeat the wraiths and spirts of the ruins have moved on to the afterlife but there are still plenty of dangers that still remain like traps, beasts that moved in after Jasmine's defeat and spirts that choose to stay in the ruins. Rebecca walks out of the bakery enjoying a sweet treat and spots them.

"Oh tim, Ashley how are you doing " Rebecca walks over?

"Good we just got done getting food for the inn " tim says.

"Oh did that shipment of moon wine come in yet" Rebecca asks?

"Nope not yet" Ashley answers.

"Oh well I will swing by later for a drink and to listen to some music, see you two later" Rebecca walks off towards her house.

Tim and Ashley head to the inn and start putting away the groceries and get ready for the evening rush. When the sun starts setting the adventurers start returning from their latest expedition into the ruins each with their own tales. Tim and Ashley along with his parents are busy serving food and alcohol. Rebecca shows up and sits at the bar enjoying the tales from the adventures. Outside the inn misty appears and walks into the inn cloaked and takes a seat and waits for the inn to clear out. Hours go by and the inn starts clearing out leaving tim, Ashley,  Rebecca and misty.

Misty gets up and walks up to the bar where the three are at "hello you three I see your doing well ".

"Misty" all three of them say in disbelief.

Tim asks "what are you doing here we haven't seen you in five years, what have you been doing "?

"Investigating the demon realm and I found a lead and I require your help to go after it" she pulls out a map and unrolls it.

"So what is it your after and why do you need help your extremely powerful " Ashley asks?

"I am after a artifact that can answer my questions its in a mountain range that is where a vault of great treasures that belonged to the God of wisdom and its known as the lamia's labyrinth" misty pulls out a page from a book about the labyrinth "now this creature I have never encountered before its supposed to be enormous ,strong enough to crush a mountain with the lower body of a snake and that of something else, I have been able to pin point where the entrance might be from records I found from the demons trying to find it" she points at a circle spot on her map "right around here is where no reports have been made, everywhere else on range has reports of not finding the labyrinth, but here there is supposed to be a road leading in".

"So why do you need this artifact " Rebecca asks?

"To find out who that demon lord is that took Jasmine and I think he is plotting something bigger than what Jasmine did" misty takes a drink of wine "but the problem is who could it be they are supposed to be all destroyed from the war so that's what makes this so frustrating so will you three help me"?

They all think for a moment and decided to go with her. "So when do we leave" tim asks?

" tomorrow morning I will open a Portal to where the road is and follow it towards the labyrinth , now mind if I get a room I am really tired " misty places a small bag of gold?

"Sure " tim hands her a key and misty takes the key and heads up up stairs to her room.
