Mrs. Von Trapp? (Friderich Von trapp x female OC)

Chapter one

Ophelia's  POV:

Maria and I were all packed and ready to leave the abbey, we were going to the von Trapp family, Maria is their new governess and because Maria is the one taking care of since my parents well uh can't, I have to come with. Maria and I were singing a song that we always sing when we're nervous. We stopped in front of the gate and opened it slowly, we looked at the house in awe. It was so big, we went to the door and Maria rang the doorbell and a man I suppose was the butler opened.

"Hello, here we are" Maria said

The butler was confused for a second, I saw that he was trying to figure out who we were

"She's the new governess sir" I said

"Oh yes of course" he said

"How do you do" Maria shook his hand rapidly

He let us in and told us to stay where we were.
Maria started walking around and ended up in a ballroom.

"Maria, no" I said under my breath

She started dancing around when a man in suit came in.

"In the future you'll kindly remember that there's certain rooms in this house which is to be disturbed." He said in a not mean, but not kind tone either

"Yes, captain, sir" Maria said before walking back over to me

After scanning us and realising that the only clothes we have are the ones we're wearing, he told us about the last governess who only stayed for 2 hours and told us how important discipline is. He then blew a whistle and we heard rapid footsteps and children lining up at the top of the stairs

Maria and I run next to the captain to not get stepped on. I saw Maria counting the children, there was 6 of them I saw these 2 specific kids who looked to be around my age.

He blew the whistle again and the kids started marching down the stairs and lining up in-front of us. I saw that there was a space between two of them and right then a girl walked in reading a book. She looked at the captain and got into line.

After checking the children he said:

"Now, this is your new governess, Fräulein Maria and her daughter Ophelia"

"Oh I'm not her daughter sir" I said

"Oh, then why are you here?" He said looking at me suspiciously

"Well you see, my parents, god bless them, died in an accident a few years ago, Maria is my caregiver" I said, I realised how weirdly calm I said it, I looked over at the children, they didn't dare to take their eyes of the ceiling.

"Oh I see, my apologies for asking, anyways children, please step forward and say your name, you Fräulein listen carefully ok?" Then he blew the whistle again.

The kids stepped forward and said their names

"Liesl"

"Friedrich"

"Louisa"

"Kurt"

"Brigitta"

"Marta"

The last one just stepped forward without saying anything

"And Gretl" the captain said a little embarrassed

"Now let's see how great you respond" he said handing Maria a whistle

She looked at me and turned around again and said:

"Oh I won't need to whistle for them, captain, I mean I will use their names, such lovely names"

"Fräulein, this is a large house, the grounds are very extensive, and I will not have anyone shouting, please learn to use it, the children will help you" he told us about our signal, but of course we told him we wouldn't respond to such and he started walking out of the room.
