Chapter 8 - back at the abbey?
I was sleeping when Maria came into my room and woke me up
"Maria?" I asked with a yawn, she didn't respond just opened my closet and pulled out the dress I came in
"Maria?!" I asked again "what are you doing, she was dressed in her old dress with her hat and a suitcase.
"Just go put this on ok, I'll tell you everything" she said clearly in a hurry
*time skips*
We both walked down quietly and Maria put a letter at one of the tables, we then walked out the door and the gate.
Maria and I were standing outside the abbey
I was so confused, what happened? Maria loved it there and so did I and she knew that.
"Maria what in the vanilla gorilla is going on?" I asked
"I'm so sorry Ophelia dear, but it's better that we stay here, I don't think I'm made to be a governess" she said, not taking even one glance at me.
She opened the gate and we went inside

Third person POV
The next day the children couldn't find Maria and Ophelia obviously. They checked everywhere, but then decided to go down to the abbey just incase.
They rang the bell and a num approached them
"Yes, my children?" She said
"Uh, my name is Liesl" Liesl told her
"Yes, Liesl?" She asked
We- my brothers and sisters- we want to see Fräulein Maria and Ophelia"
"Fräulein Maria? Oh yes Maria and Ophelia!" She said opening the gate.
"Come in, please wait here"
Another nun approached them
"I'm sister Margaretta, I understand you've been inquiring about Maria and Ophelia"
"We have to see them, it's very important" Friedrich said
"I'm afraid I can't do that"
Right then Ophelia came in wearing her nun outfit.
"Oh sister Margaretta, I've tried everything she won't tell me-" she started when the nun nodded her head towards the von Trapp children

Ophelia's POV
I just stood there looking at the children.
"Ophelia!" Brigitta said looking at me
I didn't know what to say or do
"Oh Ophelia please come back home" Friedrich said
"Yes, please" Marta repeated
"I'm sorry guys... I'm afraid I can't, at least not right now" I said looking down
"Why not?! Is there something wrong with Maria?" Liesl asked
"I'm afraid I don't know, she won't tell me, but I promise I will get back to you guys" I said with a tiny smile
They all ran and hugged me, and of course I hugged them back
"Ok time to go now" the nun said
"We really need to see Maria"
"She our governess"
"We really miss her"
They said loads of thing while they got pushed out of there
I just looked at their sad faces, I felt my heart drop, I just wanted to go with them, but instead I turned and walked away
*time skips, the children have talked to their father about the strawberries and Maria have been speaking with mother Abess*
I was so excited when Maria told me we where going back.
We heard the children singing 'favourite things' and Maria joined them, they turned around and Ran to us.
"Fräulein Maria! Ophelia! They're back" Kurt said
"Oh children we missed you so much" Maria said
"We missed you"
"Oh we missed you, Kurt how are you?" Maria asked
"Hungry"
Gretl pointed her finger up
"Oh Gretl, what happens to your finger" I said bending down a little
"It got caught" she said
"Caught in what?" I asked curiously
"Friedrich's teeth" she said causing us to laugh, I looked over at him, he gave me the sweetest smile ever
"Liesl, you alright?" Maria asked
"Just fair"
"Any telegrams been delivered here lately?"
"None at all Fräulein, but I'm learning to accept it. I'll be glad when school begins" she responded
"Oh Liesl, you can't use school to escape your problems, you have to face them" Maria said in an encouraging tone
"Oh we have so much to tell you" Maria said
"We have things to tell you"
"Father is going to be married"
"Married?" I asked
"Yes to baroness Schraeder"
I saw Maria's upset face and rubbed her back as comfort
