The wolves were ready and we were already at the meeting spot. But D wasn't here yet.
We waited for a while until they finally showed. The muscular shadow and outline of the body told me that D was in fact a man. He walked towards me, holding my baby. He stopped a few meters away from me, not wanting to get too close.
When I finally managed to get a glimpse at D, I let out a gasp. "It's you!," I breathed out. I met him when I first joined the Red Moon Pack since he joined too. I remember that I didn't get a friendly vibe off him the first time I met him.
*Flashback*
"Hey," a voice said. "You're Alana, right?" I turned towards the source. A man stood in front of me, flexing his muscles that were covered in sweat.
"Yeah," I said slowly. "You are?"
"Oh sorry, I'm Damon," he laughed, his noticeable dimples on show. I let out a small awkward chuckle. He instantly stopped and stared at me for a moment. It was unnerving. "I'm new to the pack so I'm just hoping to make some friends."
"Well, I'm pretty new too."
"Really?," he asked. "You don't seem to be. You got the future leaders of this pack wrapped around your finger. I mean the way you all walked in and the way they were looking at you, anyone can see that they like you."
"Excuse me," I snapped suddenly feeling my anger flare up at his lack of disrespect for his leaders. "Didn't anyone ever tell you to respect the leaders of your pack? And I'm pretty sure that includes not talking about them behind their backs."
"Calm down, I didn't say anything bad. I was actually trying to compliment you," he shrugged. I let out a scoff as he rolled his eyes. "I'll see you later," he muttered.
"I hope I don't," I mumbled under my breath. I watched as he walked away. He seemed weird. He gave off this uneasy, unfriendly vibe.
"Who was that?," Xavier asked as he slung his arm over my shoulders, finally back from his toilet break.
"The new guy," I told him. "I don't like him."
"Me neither."
*End of Flashback*
"Just give him back," I begged.
"You can have him. But in return I want you," he demanded. I eagerly nodded my head, remembering the plan we made just before coming here.
Don't tell me you thought we'd be coming here with no plan?
I practically ran to him, wanting to hold Hunter. He gave me my child but grabbed my arm, making the wolves from my pack get ready to attack.
I held Hunter close to me for a moment, realising that if this plan doesn't go as we planned then I won't get to hold him ever again.
Gray stepped forward and held his arms out for Hunter. I gave Hunter to him before giving him a small kiss on the cheek. When they walked away, I turned to face Damon.
"I have no idea what my dad ever saw in you," he scoffed out. His dad? "I can't believe he kidnapped you and ended up getting killed."
"So this is revenge for him getting killed?," I asked suddenly remembering that his dad kidnapped me and was killed by Grayson. So I guess that means he's Grays cousin since his dad was Grays uncle. He narrowed his eyes at me.
Guess that's a yes.
As his wolves turned and began to walk away with their backs turned to mine, my wolves attacked. Damon quickly grabbed me by the neck and held me close. "Liv!," he yelled out loudly causing someone to emerge from the trees. I stopped breathing once I realised who it was.
"Olivia!," I said in disbelief. "I'm gonna kill you! Stupid little bi-."
"You can do that later," Damon hissed out as Olivia handed him a silver knife. She took off the glove that was covering her hand and threw it on the ground.
Gray was stood in front of me once again, letting me know that Hunter is safe and far away from here. "Let her go and this war can end," Gray said with authority leaking from his voice.
"I'm afraid I can't do that."
Damon held the knife tightly. "I'm sorry," both he and Olivia said. He held it in-front of me before he drove it into my stomach. He pulled it out and did it again and again and again.
When he finished, he dropped me to the floor. Our wolves attacked him and his pack, not leaving any of them alive. Gray ran to my side.
Graysons PoV
"You're gonna be fine!," I yelled, more at myself than her. She gave me a small smile though I could tell that it pained her. How the fuck is she trying to reassure me when she's in pain?
"The knife was silver, Gray," she said softly.
"No, we're gonna be bald and old when we die. Remember that?," I repeated the same words from that conversation we had yesterday. But I couldn't help but think back to what she said after that.
"I won't make it to being old and bald if you tap me like that the next time I choke," she mumbled.
I couldn't help but think that maybe I tapped her too much this time. I came up with the plan. I practically sent her to her death.
"H-He can't sleep without his favourite blanket. He likes it when you sit on the rocking chair and sing to him-."
"Stop," I demanded. "You're gonna be here to tell me what I'm doing wrong when I can't get him to sleep. You're gonna be here for it all."
A tear slipped from both our eyes. "I-I need you t-to be s-strong and stay here f-for H-Hunter," she choked out, ignoring what I said.
"I-I can't," I broke down as I pulled her body over my lap. I cradled her head before giving her a small kiss on the forehead. "I can't do it without you."
"Y-Yes you c-can. I-I love you," she said shakily, panting slightly.
This was starting to sound like a goodbye and I wasn't ready for it.
"I love you too."
With that, the sound of her heartbeat, the only thing that was comforting me, was no longer there. It was silent.
A howl broke through me. It was the one howl I never thought I'd do. The howl of a wolf who's just lost their soulmate. The love of their life.

Nothing thinking of anything I left Alana's side to get her the justice she deserves. Once I found Olivia. I gripped her neck tightly and watched as the life drained from her eyes. I felt a form of comfort in the fact that she suffered the way Alana did.
I dropped Olivia's body on the ground along with all the other dead wolves, not one from their pack was left alive.
I made my way back to Alana's side, resting her head on my lap and rubbing my fingers through her hair for possibly the last time ever.
I don't think I can live without you, Alana Reid.
