bailey could possibly be in love with elliot.

for starters, bailey absolutely adores her boyfriend of two years, and enjoys every moment she spends with him. not only that, but he treats her better than any other guy she's dated, and bailey has had her fair share of bad boyfriends. plus, he's got the nicest cheekbones and the most spectacular blue eyes that she's ever seen, along with a weird sense of humor. with elliot, bailey felt comfortable. whether elliot makes bailey swoon with his blue orbs or his overdone your mom jokes, bailey likes him a lot.

the two were currently strolling out of target, hand in hand, talking about the next movie they'd see together.

"i'm literally so excited for the avengers two," bailey exclaimed, "chris evans makes my heart throb. he's probably my favorite avenger."

elliot made an offended noise. "if he's so great then why don't you just go run off with him?"

"he's not as great as the guy whose got my heart twisted up in knots," bailey said, looking up at elliot.

"and who would that guy be?" elliot responded after looking to see if any cars were coming.

"hmmm," bailey said, pretending to think as she walked across the walkway. "robert downey junior."

"shut up, you know that it's me," elliot said with a sunny smile and a warm look at his girlfriend. elliot really loved the way her blonde hair fell in her face, and the way her eyes sparkled whenever he made a stupid joke. elliot really loved her.

"do i?"

"yes. even i know that it's me."

"do you?"

"yeah," elliot stopped in front of his car for a moment while bailey was still walking, making her fly backwards. "sorry."

bailey accepted his apology and looked at elliot curiously. his face was blank except for his eyebrows that were pulled together from thought. bailey loved this expression, along with all of the other ones he made. "elliot?"

at the mention of his name, the twenty-four year old darted his head back up at his girlfriend. "oh, yeah, sorry," elliot said shaking his head, turning around to put his bag in the car, but suddenly turning back around to pull bailey in for a long kiss. "god, i'm in love with you."

bailey's eyes widened at his words, and the knot that her heart was tied up in tightened even more. "r-really?"

elliot nodded and studied bailey's face, not her expression, but her face. he loved the curve of her jaw, the way her skin looked in the early morning sunlight, the way her nostrils moved as she was smiling. his body was frozen with anxiety at her response, and now at bailey's growing smile.

bailey was grinning unnaturally wide, so wide that it made elliot uncomfortable for a moment before she uttered, "i love you too."
