naomi was always a gambler.

naomi always loved to take risks.

naomi, however, always ended up broke.

and everytime naomi was broke, she went back to her parents house to take care of them, in hopes of getting a little bit of financial security.

and since naomi was currently broke, visiting her parents, she had to take care of them. so they sent her off to target to pick up some more printer cartridges.

naomi completed her errand, and exited the building, sighing softly to herself. she stared intently at the long shadow the trashcan was casting, despreately trying to ignore how could she was. just as she was about to cross into the parking lot, the sky opened up and snow began to trickle down from the heavens. the flurries ever so slowly made their way into naomi's mouth, poofy hair, and eyelids. naomi hardly saw snow anymore since she moved to florida, and she honestly forgot how pleasant it was.

she once again tried her best to ignore the cold wind blowing on her back and instead smiled at the gift from mother nature. she looked down at her arms and noted the how bright the snow looked again her brown skin. she smiled and danced and sang a little, forgetting she was, in fact, in public, but most importantly, she forgot about her debt. and suddenly the moment became a whole different level of pleasant.

when the snow started to come down a lot more, naomi couldn't handle the cold, and trudged over to her car, deciding she really wouldn't mind seeing this more often. plus, when she'd turned back up at her parents' place again, they'd been so much more kinder than before. she also decided she wouldn't mind seeing that more often.

as she flung her bags into the backseat and set down her purse on the passenger seat, she also decided that she wouldn't mind seeing the new, handsome, next door neighbor, too.

she sighed dreamily, staring up into the dotted white sky, half-smiling. naomi would how strongly the childish instinct to go out there and make snowa angels would be. the thirty-one year old swiftly grabbed her keys and started her car, trying to dismiss the thoughts from her mind. the car started with the ever so familiar low rumble, and she put her it in reverse.

before she backed up, she subconciously decided she wouldn't miss florida's awful summer temperatures. as she drove out of the row of parking spaces and past the other stores the little strip had, she realized that she should probably put her degree in finance to use.

she drove towards the exit, gazing momentarily at the brick-built bank across the street, before deciding that she should just move back there with her parents and start a new life.
