The sanses search around UnderTale, looking for Chris. Nightmare and Dream appeared invisible in the orphanage where Chris used to be in, they saw a few posters of Chris being missing. Dream hummed as he walks around the orphanage and blinks in surprise by how the caretakers took care of the bad children, they either spank them or lock them in a closet.
Dream understood to Chris why he didn't want to come back here, he can sense Nightmare was angry about how this orphanage takes care of children. Dream thought of talking to Nightmare, to get their bond fix a little bit. "Hey, brother-" "No time for talking, Dream. I needed to find my son." Nightmare hisses. "Talking isn't going to slow us down!" Dream responded.
Nightmare sighs in annoyance. "What!?" Nightmare asked as he checks the children's rooms, looking for any signs of Chris. "Um, what did you and your son did together?" Dream asked, smiling a bit. "None of your business..." Nightmare hisses. "Nightmare, I am trying to fix our bond! I want us to be friends again! I want us to at least have a calm conversation without any of us not being so stubborn!" Dream hisses.
Nightmare went silent before responding. "Maybe I don't want to be friends with you after what you did to me. Being friends with my bullies, refusing to back me up to protect our mother who never spoken to me, then you assume me that it was my fault that I ruined the tree!" Nightmare complained. "But you DID ruin the tree!" Dream responded. "I was trying to prove to everyone that I can be a protector of your side of the tree! That's obviously because you were NEVER THERE!" Nightmare shouted, making Dream speechless.
Dream looks down, thinking about the past. "You probably didn't know there's a billion of mad, evil or selfish people who is willing to take that positivity for power! But no! You were too busy looking at the bright side! You think negativity is bad?! You should be glad negativity is here! It makes us clear to see a freakin' problem! It alerts us and these things needed attention instead of positivity! These things needed to fuckin' change!" Nightmare explained.
Dream didn't speak, didn't know what to say. "But I was trying to change that..." Dream mumbled, looking down more, it was all he could say about it. Nightmare sighs. Dream then thought of something before responding. "But we need positivity to help fix that problem." It makes Nightmare gag in disgust. "Hey, you wanted Chris to be happy, why didn't you get disgusted?" Dream asked. "Because it's for his well-being, I don't want him to..." Nightmare went silent as he thought of Chris being scared, sad, or worse.
Dream went quiet to listen more, he can tell Chris has a problem, but he wasn't sure how to solve it. "Maybe you should just leave us be, you can't be any part of Chris' life." Nightmare responded. "But! Nightmare-" "No! Listen here!-" "My god! Would you two shut up!?" A person shouted. Nightmare and Dream froze after hearing a voice, they both look at the person.
It reveals to be a woman who must be looking for adopting a child. She wore a white shirt and blue pants; she has short black hair. "Uh...who are you? How come you can see us?" Dream asked, nervous. "I'm Lala and you two aren't even invisible." Lala responded before sighing. "Oh...please don't tell anyone about us." Nightmare responded with a nervous look. "I won't. I heard your conversations while I'm waiting to see my kid. I can tell you two had a sibling fight." Lala replied.
"It's business, you don't need to know anything about it." Nightmare hisses as Lala steps back. "I understand! I'm not a nosy person! I just thought of giving you some advice." Lala replied. "Why?" Dream asked. "Well, you two remind me and my older sister, we fight a lot when we were young. It's a big thing for siblings." Lala replied, nodded.
"Are you some sibling therapist or something?" Nightmare asked. "Well, yes, I am in training." Lala replied with a smile. "What's some advice?" Dream asked. "Well, from what I knowledge...I don't see who is to blame, I believe that...both of you needed to change your behaviour, show your love, you two had to listen to each other. From what I remember, the yellow one, I'm sorry what's your name?" Lala asked. "I'm Dream!" Dream cheered. "Nightmare..." Nightmare mumbled, looking away.
