Chapter 10

Author's POV

Jungkook was panicking.

He kept pacing around in this room.

He was still thinking about what happened yesterday.

With his Father-in-Law.

Things escalated so quickly. One second they were sitting next to each other, talking, and the other second they were almost kissing.

Heck it was only Jungkook's second time meeting his Father-in-Law.

Jungkook was so confused about his feelings.

Does He have feelings for his Father-in-Law?

Love at first sight exists?

Jungkook looked horrified.

He can't have feelings for his Father-in-Law.

No no, he can't. It's wrong, extremely wrong.

But Taehyung leaned in too.

Maybe he has feelings for Jungkook too.

Jungkook was so lost in thoughts that he didn't realize that Daehyung was already in the room until he sat on the bed and cleared his throat.

"What are you thinking about?"

Jungkook gulped. How can he tell Daehyung that he was about to kiss his father.

"Nothing."

"You look so pale. Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yep I'm really fine don't worry."

"Ok. And Jungkook I wanted to ask you why are you not going to your college? It's been three days now."

"Ummm you're mother."

"What about my mother?"

"She told me not to go to college," Jungkook swallowed.

"Why would she say that?"

"I don't know," Jungkook said in a small voice.

"Don't worry about her. Continue to go to your college from tomorrow onwards. I'll handle her."

"Thank you Daehyung."

"You're always welcome," Daehyung smiled.

Jungkook smiled back showing his bunny teeth.

"Come on I already ate lunch in office, you should go and eat now too."

Jungkook nodded and went down to eat lunch.

He only saw Taehyung on the table, eating pasta.

Just by seeing him Jungkook blushed furiously cause the memories of yesterday were continuously flooding in his mind.

With red cheeks, Jungkook took a seat next to him.

Taehyung seemed to have noticed his presence.

"Good afternoon."

"Good afternoon," Jungkook said shyly.

"How is your day going so far?"

"Good, what about yours?"

"It's going good and now even better," Taehyung smiled.

Jungkook took the hint and blushed even more if that was even possible now.

He started eating some red sauce pasta too.

"Do you want to go to the mall later?"

Jungkook looked up at that.

"What?"

"I was planning to go to the mall today. Maybe you can accompany me."

"Oh" Jungkook looked surprised.

"So what do you say."

"Ok, I'll go."

"Good," Taehyung grinned.

Just by watching Taehyung smiling so widely, Jungkook unconsciously smiled back widely too.

They both stopped smiling when they heard
Areum clearing her throat.

"When did you come?" Taehyung questioned. He sounded displeased.

"Just now babe," Areum replied

Taehyung hummed and started eating his lunch. So did Jungkook.

"Taehyung are going somewhere? You never wear these clothes at home," Areum questioned.

"Yes, I'm going to the mall."

Areum hummed.

"With Jungkook."

She looked up from her plate at that.

Jungkook looked so nervous. He never liked Areum's personality. That woman was sick in the head.

"Why?"

"What do you mean why?" Taehyung asked.

"I meant you can take me to the mall. Why him?"

"I don't need a reason to take him to the mall with me," Taehyung said frowning.

"But I'm your wife. You should take me with you not him. Daehyung will take him out or something."

"Areum let it go. Don't start arguing over nothing."

Areum started eating again aggressively.

After a moment of all three of them eating in silence. Areum again spoke.

"I see, you both are bonding."

"Yes, we are," Taehyung replied nonchalantly.

"Great," she said forcing a smile which was so fake.

"Taehyung I'll go and change my clothes then we'll go to the mall," Jungkook said.

"Why are you calling him Taehyung? Don't be so formal. He is your father-in-law."

"I told him to call me by my name. He doesn't need to be formal with me," Taehyung replied to Areum.

"Okay," Areum said with gritted teeth.

"Go and change I'll wait for you in the car," Taehyung said smiling softly at Jungkook.

Jungkook nodded, smiling, and went upstairs to change his clothes.

Meanwhile Areum was fuming in anger. She felt humiliated that Taehyung was taking Jungkook out with him instead of her.
