It had been a long day in the kingdom, Madeleine was on his way back home but when he approached he noticed a familiar and visibly pissed off Espresso. He had to admit, his performance at work on the field fending off monsters, had deffinently faltered by alot since he was in his head too much and wasn't even as social as usual.

Espresso was standing at the door with his arms crossed, glaring at Madeleine as his foot tapped... "took you long enough. What... the... HELL Madeleine!? What am I hearing about your performance decreasing and your ego not being as bold as usual?" He snapped, aggressively hiding how concerned he actually was.

Madeleine sighed "just had a bad day okay!?.. Don't you have more research to do?-" he said as he went to unlock his door but Espresso stepped in the way, getting a seemingly annoyed groan out of Madeleine.

"First of all, you NEVER have bad days... Second of all, you're always the one telling me to take a break. Unlock the door, I'm going in, making you some coffee or tea whichever you prefer, and you are telling me who or what has gotten you like this!" The slightly shorter male spoke sternly.

Madeleine didn't have the energy or want to fight Espresso on it so he just sighed and nodded, once the door was unlocked Espresso immediately pushed his way in and went into the kitchen. Madeleine went inside and locked the door behind him before taking off all his armor, leaving the warrior in just his dress shirt and pants as he sat at the table. He rested his head in his hand as he watched the coffee magic user set up the table, he had brewed both coffee and tea which caused Madeleine to smile softly since he didn't specify what he wanted and yet Espresso made both anyway.

Espresso set up the table, giving them both mugs to drink out of, then setting the sugar, milk pitcher, coffee creamer, and honey in the middle of the table beside the coffee and tea pots. The wizard then sat at the table opposite side of Madeleine and poured himself just coffee and took a sip, he liked his coffee bitter but he preffered having a fancy elaborate set up anyway; plus it would give Madeleine the ability to put whatever he wanted in his coffee or tea without having to get up. "Now... What is troubling the most egotistical, confident, and flashy warrior of the kingdom?" Espresso spoke almost mockingly...

Madeleine sighed as he poured himself some coffee and put a little sugar in it to counter the bitter taste a little before taking a sip. "You're just gonna laugh at me... and why do you care anyway? You're never concerned about me" he spoke, raising a brow.

Espresso blushed a little and growled "what? Is it wrong of me to show concern for one of the people who- I don't know- keeps the kingdom safe from an attack!? And I'm not gonna laugh at you, if it's bothering you THIS much it's no laughing matter because literally NOTHING bothers you I swear!" He replied as he crossed his arms "tsk... just... just tell me what's wrong..." he muttered softly, his eyes diverting to the side... He was trying so hard to hide the fact that he just wanted to hug and comfort the other male and so far he was doing well, but he was slowly starting to crumble.

Madeleine sighed and gave in as he sat back in his chair... "it... was a nightmare that felt too real for comfort..." he muttered. "Our home was invaded by... by monsters I hadn't seen before with one wicked cookie leading them all- not dark Enchantress... it looked different... bloodshed all over the streets, the two of us where probably the only ones left alive, and we had made it to the source. A palace of darkness... both of us where severely injured but not quite done but then-..." Madeleine paused, he refused to look at Espresso as he held his head while tears threatened to fall from his eyes. "T-Then as you where about to attack... Th-the opponent took the shot first... right into your chest... you fell back and... and I went to your aid but you bled too fast... i-in your final breath you said..." the warrior started to tremble as Espresso quickly stood up noticing "y-you said-"
