The plane started to land. I looked out the window. "Oh, it's so pretty.." I say, looking out at the sunset and pink clouds. I pull out my phone and open the airplane company's app. It shows me where we are. "Texas? Where is that?" I ask my older sibling, who I sat next to on the plane. "I dunno. I think it's the big one in the south." they said.
The airplane announcements turned on, telling us we would land soon and that we needed to stay buckled up. I relaxed in my soft seat. The plane made some weird dinging noises and my ears started popping. I put my phone in my backpack in the same pocket as my tooth brush. "We'll have to learn the American states. And I heard they use some different words than us." They said. "Oh. Well that'll be fun to learn." I said, then looking out the window again.
After what felt like ages, the plane landed. We got up and got our bags, then tried to exit. I snuck through the crowd of people fighting to get off the plane until I got off. I looked around at the airport. There was a Starbucks, a McDonalds, and a gift shop. I pulled out my phone and opened Discord, witch my older sibling convinced me would be an app I would like. I had 32 messages from my online bestie. I looked through them, all of them in all caps asking me why I didn't tell her I was moving, what state I would be in, and if we could meet in real life. I laughed at the messages and responded with "I don't know yet". I put my phone up when I saw the rest of my family walk out of the airplane exit. We got our suitcases after some stress of trying to find them.
