After the walk last night she went back to her room and dressed into her white night dress and went to sleep. She was lying in her bed staring at the ceiling. As she was staring at the ceiling she slowly drifted into unconsciousness.
She saw herself walking in a mansion but she knew clearly that it wasn't her room. She walked. It was big mansion but a bit dark. There was only the candle lights. The walls were dark red with black designs and the other parts of the wall were dark walnut tree. She didn't really think it was creepy because she likes going to places where she has never been.
She kept on walking. It was a corridor and she passed about four or five doors but it was like she was heading somewhere like she knew where she was going. So she just let her body lead to where ever it was taking her. As she was walking she saw a room with the door a bit open, from the small space of the open door a warm cosy orange color light was shining through it.
She went there wondering what it is, so she aimed towards the door and pushed it open. It was a living room. It had the same walls as the corridor. It had a big black colored sofa which looked comfy and Mitsuki was sure it was enough for two people to lay down, there was another sofa but it was smaller it looked like for one person but, she was sure again that it was enough for two people to sit. On the right side of the room there was a fire place where the fire was burning gently. On the left side of the room there was a shelf full of old books. Next to the book shelf wall there was a wall with three windows with black wooden frame.
"Nice place" She commented in her mind and walked further into the room.
It was quiet and a calm atmosphere in the room. She liked this room and wished she had a room like this. She walked towards the book shelf and examined the books. They were old, the covers had weak edges and the pages were yellowish, it also smelled strongly of paper and ink. She never saw this kind of books in the castle's library but she still likes the way the books look. She wasn't sure whether there was another person living here, but she felt safe, warm and comfortable. She also felt familiar, like she was here many times.
She was alone and the only sound was the silent crack of the fire. She sat there at the sofa and just stared at the burning fire. Then she heard someone calling her name.
"....tuki....Mitsuki... MISTUKI--"And she opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was her mother's worried face.
Mitsuki was confused for a moment and when her mind was clear she spoke, "Why do you look so worried?" Mitsuki frowned waiting for an answer.
"I just wanted to talk and give you something but you were asleep and I thought I should leave, but you didn't move at all, and your breath was so quiet that I wasn't sure so I woke you up. It did take a few pushes" her mother said by reviewing the memory of her daughter sleeping motionless and quiet.
"You wanted to talk to me?"Mitsuki said a bit happy.
"Yes" said her mother.
"And I also wanted to give you something" Her mother took out a silver necklace with a rose shaped ruby pendant. Mitsuki took it and examined the rose shaped ruby pendant.
"It's beautiful" Mitsuki said while wearing a smile on her face.
"I'm glad you like it" said her mother smiling too.
"Where did you get it?" Mitsuki asked, "I made it. The mountain workers found a ruby when they were working and gave it to me. So I shaped it into a rose...of course with the help of the accessory makers" she said by smiling and looking into Mitsuki's eyes.
"Thank you" Mitsuki said with half tears in her eyes.
"Anything for you" she said and hugged Mitsuki and Mitsuki hugged back.
After a moment they pulled away and looked into each other's eyes by smiling softly. Her mother helped Mitsuki with the necklace and they talked for some minutes. Then her mother gave Mitsuki a goodnight kiss on her forehead and went to her own room to sleep.
Slowly after some time Mitsuki started remembering the dream she had before her mother woke her up. And suddenly she sat up and looked around her own room. It way like always. Her room walls were white, her dark walnut writing desk was next to her bed as usual. And next to her writing desk there was the water place. It is a big half bowl like shaded sink that is made out of polished stone, a little above the sink there was a little pipe coming out of the wall and dripped water drops to fill the water sink.
Across the writing desk and water place wall there was a book shelf with a lot of books about the outside world. On the left side of the book shelf there is a small balcony. It was a small half circle shaped balcony and had white soft curtains on either side.
At the end of Mitsuki's bed there was a wooden swinging chair and beside it on the floor there was her knitting basket.
Nothing has changed.
"I wonder where that place was....why do I even keep on seeing the same dream?" she asked herself, laying back on the bed and thinking. Then she realized that her body was tired and wanted to rest so she held her necklace that she got from her mother. Then she fell asleep but there was no dream this time.
